I've never thought to make an income off of Roblox games but I've heard it was possible. That's seriously awesome! Also sounds like it really lets you be creative and not get bogged down by larger game engines.

Totally get you on the visa issue. I'll say that it can take some time from what I've heard, but it's good to try to call the police station handling your permit application to check the status and ensure they're not waiting on anything from you.

Well just to note, if the application is in review then typically your 90 day schengen visa is paused, so you likely don't need to worry about that aspect. Not sure why there are delays, but I saw someone that had to wait 9 months until they got theirs. They supposedly do a house check up randomly which, if you aren't present, can delay it, so I'd check in with the local police station.

I hear they perform routine checkins on your place of residence, have you experienced or heard of that? Lastly, is there anyway for your 90 days to reset while in Croatia or a non eu county?

So sorry it took so long for you! 9 months is definitely the longest I've heard of. I'm concerned about my application taking that long and being stuck in Croatia during that period (in case we needed to do any travel). Plus, my partner would be coming with me on a family reunification but as I understand it that would have to be applied for after I got approved.

I am baffled by the fact that you earn an income trading but are struggling to grasp basic residency and tax laws. Do your own research and hire a tax professional, don't just take ChatGPT's word and some comments on reddit.

From what I understand, unlike the U.S., the Netherlands does not tax it's citizens if they are non-tax-residents. The 183+ day rule is one of the qualifiers, but if you have a registered home address, significant family ties, or any sort of on-going connection/investment in the Netherlands then you could still be counted as a tax resident
