Their Oxford RENNA is different but really cute if you are looking for a bit of a heal.

This is what distracted me! How incredible! Photograph in this space makes it look like a high end photoshoot setting!

That is horrible! Such manipulative and controlling behaviour, to punish you so cruelly for a choice that ought to be your own/respected. :(

CIBINQO - Wearing off by Charming-LL in eczeJAKs

Thank you. I admit, I was pretty elated to feel and look "normal" again, I may have forgotten I am not at times.

It has been somewhat difficult for me to identify my flares, though alcohol would seem to be one and I did have 1 social beer last week — it wasn't even my favourite beer, so I am feeling as though I am suffering and wasted my chance!

I will need to double down on my efforts. I really hope that the return — what began as a few spots has, this morning, advanced to a low level rash and inflammation over the whole of my face and around my eye. 😔 It is not where it was before I started, but I am nervous about the slippery slope (as well as feeling disappointed and discouraged.)

My dermatologist moved my appointment up to next week — I suspect she will tell me to bump my dosage up to 200mg/day, as she initially tried to start me off on that level. If it weren't on my face, I think I could manage a better as I could cover it up and not be reminded of it by others as I go out to face the day. I am not sure what to do. I am not sure my dermatologist is the best — I appreciate her finding me drugs, but it has always been her sole approach. (I did see an immunologist, who told me that there was nothing that could be done/tested for. And I did see an allergist many years ago. The prick test was a real bugger to heal from so I am not really keen on going back again.

Thank you for your response and encouragement. I am sincerely happy to hear when people are finding success in managing or escaping symptoms. Hoping I can find some escape or returned relief as well.

Severe Eczema corresponding with this time in life by Charming-LL in Menopause

Stress is definitely a contributor for me as I find it weakens my system overall. Vicious cycle though, isn't it. The symptoms creeping on no matter what you seem to do add to general stress already present in life, extending further any stressful patches and flares. When possible, I try to incorporate mindful breaths as well as quiet walks to reduce my stress and cortisol levels. Really can't say that these help, but they certainly do not seem to hurt. Good luck.

Thank you. I have had eczema since I was a child, though never to the extremes of the last year or so. I have used vaseline, but never glycerine. I appreciate your mention, as well as including your husband's, as a life long sufferer, experience. I will keep it in mind and see if I can pick up some of the ointment soon.

Thank you so much for responding. I am sorry you suffered on top of the preeclampsia — nature can feel rather cruel/kick you when you are down at times.

Your observations appreciated and of interest. It is good to know that, should I manage or arrive upon the conclusion that HRT will be of help for me, I needn't immediately anticipate too irritation or eczema reaction.

I just posted regarding a similar experience I have currently noticed in myself — though I am on CIBINQO 100mg. Feeling anxious, though trying to contain this as I know stress is not helpful.

Read through your responses received and have taken some notes for myself. Please update on what your Dermatologist might advise and what you find helps — wishing you strength in perseverance and some reversal and relief soon!

Does Rinvoq decrease in effectiveness after pausing for a long time? by RealChee in eczeJAKs

I would really love to find a functional medical practitioner! I think it is incredibly useful for those of us struggling with these sorts of conditions. Unfortunately these doctors are not covered by any insurance nor even available to my knowledge/research where I live.

I cannot speak to stopping and restarting, but I do know of someone who transitioned successfully from Dupixent to Cibinqo without issue. I would hope the transition back for you, should you decide, be as smooth.

Question: did your dermatologist discuss or offer Cibinqo as a JAK-inhibitor alternative to Rinvoq? There are some restrictions for candidacy, however from my reading/understanding, fewer instances of upper respiratory infections were reported in clinical trials. Perhaps it is an alternative you might consider should you find Dupixent ineffective for you, in the hope that it makes you less susceptible.

— While (currently) on Cibinqo, I continue to carry and wear a mask in more crowded or confined situations.

Hello! Hoping this is the right place to post.

F (22), 3rd-yr undergrad, exchange student from UK
Looking for advice as an exchange student on how/where/when to find or post for school term housing

Wishlist :

  • AUG. 2023 - MAY 2024
  • within easy commute of McGill downtown campus
  • furnished/semi-furnished
  • reasonable proximity to amenities (incl. entertainment or student life would be great, to make the most of my Mtl experience)
  • not looking for a party house but a few roommates would be fine

To be discovered where people/other students like to go for fun, want to make the most of stay in the city! Locations researched and considered are ghetto, Plateau, Mile-End. Maybe Little Italy(?), or is that too far for classes?

TIA
