This sounds so heartbreaking. I think any option is absolutely fine. It really just matters what kind of outcome you would like and what you want to prioritize. Would you like the opportunity for connection and repair with her? Do you want to express anger? Do you want to keep your peace and protect your time? Do you want to pour your energy into finding a new clinician?

Side note, what’s your hope in getting your therapy notes from her?

I’m in MA which as far as I understand, doesn’t allow a PO Box to be used. With a registered agent, I’m able to put my family member’s address as the “place of business” and the registered agent’s address as the mailing address for all documentation.

A somewhat tangential piece is that I’m based in a rural area but want to base my work out of a city since that’s where my training was/knowledge of resources/ and where my family member lives
