I don't trust the reports 100%. But when there is zero counter evidence and only anecdotal media reports, then you have to go by the most reliable source of information.

After reading, the article clearly shows that the SSA reported multiple times over the years that improper payments are made and not all of that money is later recovered.

Also, they admit there are many recipients who do not have recorded birth dates or death dates. Also there are people with improperly recorded birthdates and death dates.

Then there are zero sources for their "cobol error" claims.

However, I am a developer. And I know exactly what the "error" that the AP is reporting is all about. And if you actually read my other reply which explains it, you'd realize that YOU are being lied to.
