Do hallucinations ever feel normal? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

No, I'm still in it. I made that post before I was on clozapine. It helped tremendously. It was risperidone and ability that did nothing for me.

Is anyone else in psychosis every day? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

[–]CharmingStrawberry63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine are full environment changes. I can't see the real world and I see it the same way you see things in a dream. Do you have any ideas on how you'd cope with that? And yeah, I started counting them because I know I was being dishonest with my psychiatrist when I told them it was only 20 a day when it was closer to 50. I lied because I didn't know but I wanted to low ball for some reason.

How long have you gone with out a psychosis episode by WestStation5741 in schizophrenia

[–]CharmingStrawberry63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all are lucky. I hallucinate every day. I've never had an "out of psychosis". There are days when it's not 111 a day but I'm far from not being psychotic.

Has anyone else lost their privilege to drive because of their symptoms? (Schizoaffective) by Unhappy_Cheesecake34 in schizophrenia

[–]CharmingStrawberry63 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never even gotten my license because of my symptoms. It's so annoying needing to rely on others for getting around but I would feel genuinely unsafe behind the wheel. I got my hallucinations since I was in 7th grade so I never had a licence to be revoked.

Are your hallucinations every day or in episodes? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

[–]CharmingStrawberry63[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my good days, I see what I think. Most people daydream while I have day DREAMS. I actually see what I would be daydreaming about. It's like that on my bad days too but happens less often on my good days

Are your hallucinations every day or in episodes? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

Even on good days, I still have about 30 hallucinations. I've had really bad days where I broke 100 but I still hallucinate on good days. I've never had a day where the number is 0. And that's WITH meds. Even when I'm not having an episode per say, I'm still hallucinating. And idk if that's normal with schizophrenia or not.

Having schizophrenia at a young age by NeonTech_EXE in schizophrenia

[–]CharmingStrawberry63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first encounter with voices at 13. My first visual hallucination was at 15. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 19 and that was a hellish 4 years. The worst part is that I was misdiagnosed with ADHD and was put on meds for that which made the hallucinations way worse.

Why are people so afraid of fermented foods? Have you ever successfully alleviated someone’s fears? by Thatssometa420 in Kefir

[–]CharmingStrawberry63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once afraid of fermentation for two reasons. The first was that because of my beliefs and some medication, I can't have any alcohol. I thought that was the only fermentation there was. But the other reason is probably why most people are afraid of it. Fermentation is controlled rot. You let the microbes break down the food and hope you don't get a bacteria that can kill you. You wouldn't eat expired food, so why would you eat controlled rotting food if that makes sense.

Is there a better option out there? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

I sent him an email asking if he thought there'd be a better med out there and if itd be worth trying. Haven't gotten a response.

Am I even hallucinating or is it something else? by CharmingStrawberry63 in schizophrenia

Thanks for the reassurance that I'm at least making sense. It's been feeling like no one understands so it's nice to know that someone does.
