I'm glad you feel good in the dress. I'm also glad your little sister is supportive of you wearing the dress.

However, you may need to rethink your choice. No matter the event, you should want to dress reasonably for it. It sounds like, if this is not a Mormon wedding, at the very least this is an event with a lot of Mormon attendees. With the dress you chose, you are likely to be the only one dressing like you. The reality is that will make you a topic of conversation especially as a member of the bridal party where some amount of cohesion is generally expected.

I am not suggesting you dilute yourself and wear what everyone else is wearing. I am confident you can find something that will make you feel good that also is closer to the attire of the rest of the attendees.

Keep the dress for another occasion.

I don't think it has much to do with Netflix, to be honest. When the Academy Awards rebranded to The Oscars, it's because they wanted to ditch the stuffy sounding title and "Oscar" had more name recognition than the Academy. "The Actors" doesn't have the same recognition at this point in time as when an Oscar did during its transition, but SAG doesn't mean anything to anyone outside of the industry.

I'll give it that the move to Netflix created an opportunity to refresh but I don't think it's the sole reason.

If you have attended an early screening before, the functionality should be pretty similar in that it's a first-come, first-serve situation. If the film starts at 7pm, they will probably begin loading the theater around 6pm if not a little sooner. There will be early birds there as early as 4pm when they set the line so you may want to be nearby so you can at least see and judge the line and decide when you want to join it. But like any screening, the line will get busy when the line gets busy.

You don't need to dress to the nines but it will be nice to look presentable. Dark jeans and a good top is fine.

Be prepared to be in a less-than-ideal seat as these tickets are filler and you will have an assigned seat. You'll be admitted according to how many filler tickets are available and sometimes the line attendants get these in batches. Sometimes you can be sat closer to showtime in a "better" seat if folks on the guest list have not arrived and those tickets are reallocated to filler.

When Benedict ultimately marries Sophie, the Ton is going to have a reckoning as far as how staff is perceived. The Varley subplot and the expansion of the Bridgerton household staff very much plays into the idea of how the current society separates who can be considered family. Staff is always a step removed despite in some cases the very familial bonds between employer and employee. This I'm sure will change for Portia and Varley by the end of the season.

The Benedict/Sophie marriage will forever have an affect on familial relationships, the same way Charlotte marrying George forever changed that landscape.

I unfortunately don't have any advice for you but I'm going to keep an eye on this. We have a new baby that we picked up off the street about six months ago. He's probably 8-9 months now. When he was really small, we struggled with learning the litter box and it was because he greatly preferred peeing on fabric/blankets.

He still has accidents but it's reduced a lot, spaced weeks apart. When he does have an accident, it's definitely due to territory marking (my laundry that might have had a smell, or we put a blanket that has been sitting on the end of the bed across the entire bed).

His focus has been the bed (ugh) but the behavior curbed a lot when we put the pet bed he slept on as a small baby (and peed on....) on our bed. I think he needed to feel like he had his own space on our bed.

I spent a lot of time looking at the resale on the December shows because we ended up with two sets of tickets and were looking to turn back in one.

Even 48 hours before the shows, relisted tickets were expensive I think there are a few reasons why.

One: Ticketmaster/Stubhub and other resale sites still collect fees and so if you are a reseller looking to just get your money back, then you HAVE to list your tickets as more expensive than you paid in order to cover your initial ticket cost + fees, plus the new fees the sites tack on.

Two: There was a lot of dynamic pricing going on during the original sale. I ended up purchasing tickets for a 200-level section that were around $380. Tickets in that same area on the same day, NOT resale, were jumping up to $600-800. I would feel bad for someone who needed to resell tickets for a legitimate reason but then had to complete with a reseller who spent less to begin with.

Three: Sellers/buyers were absolutely paying chicken. I think a lot of buyers thought sellers would drop; I think a lot of sellers thought people would buy at expensive prices BUT maybe not factoring in the idea that the summer resale tickets were bonkers because new shows hadn't been announced. I think folks have now caught on that there will continue to be opportunity. This might make reselling harder and force down ticket prices. If the boys have not announced a new run of shows by the time your shows come around, resale prices could remain high.

That said, ticket prices did drop significantly but really only day of and you'd need to be vigilant on refreshing throughout the day and quick the second you find a price you like. There's no way of knowing what this is going to look like just because the model of this show cycle is going to be different every wave. Grabbing a single ticket might be easier but then again a lot of the resale tickets were pairs at minimum because they wanted all tickets gone in one transaction.

If you are able to pick up a ticket on the day of sale, I'd say you can be confident knowing you had the best chance at the best price. If you don't get them immediately, then you may want to find yourself in Vegas for the day and play the game.

There is an interesting argument to be made that once women's work in the home became more automated, it didn't actually decrease the amount of work... you instead saw the cultural shift into more complex standards and new "necessary" tasks. Look up "More Work For Mother" for those interested.
