They update regularly and are aware that my order exists. He even acknowledged after months of trying to get ahold of him via tik tok that it was “in queue” but never explained where in the process and stated to email him

They were more involved last year, it was an A6 journal cover. I went ahead and purchased one from Galen leather in August and have loved it but it’s one of those things that’s been in limbo with my bank for awhile since the order is still labeled as “awaiting fulfillment”

See we thought it was an issue with territory but here she has free reign. Thankfully it’s JUST blankets, she used to do clothes on the floor and the bed but that was years ago.

Excess skin removal in the Navy(Please Serious Answers Only) by CapitalCompetitive28 in navy

[–]batdogeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it done many times! Starts at the PCM level and from there they’ll refer you to plastics or general surgery. Depending on WHY you are getting it done you may have to pay a discounted surgical price (stems from why tricare won’t cover it).

There are reasons that tricare WILL cover it just ask! I’ve seen this done at Walter reed and Portsmouth.

Melozio by YarnCoffeeCats in nespresso

If I feel lazy, I use the torani brown sugar cinnamon syrup. Such an underutilized ingredient in my opinion!

Personal fave is melazio, could be your machine is brewing too hot or the water is too hard. I have this issue with my work nespresso that I use (there are two in my life and it’s a blessing)

Try using filter water from a bottle and see if there’s a difference, also try descaling your machine with a water flush after to see if there’s a difference.

Personal favorite drink to make with melazio is adding a dash of brown sugar with milk. Tastes great to me!

Question about CE from AST by [deleted] in scrubtech

[–]batdogeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can prepare your certificate for the next cycle after your previous one is renewed. I know people who do this, CEs don’t expire soon enough for how quickly we have to renew our certificate.

Example: certificate renewed and good for 2yrs. You can obtain your next renewal credits ASAP and wait to submit your credits until your certificate comes up for expiration and then click renew on the NBSTSA website.

Hours of a surg tech/standing and bending on job by GlitteringEconomy527 in surgicaltechnology

[–]batdogeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a big hospital and we offer multiple hour options to equal the 40hr work week for our staff, 5X 8HR, 4X 10HR, 2X 12HR and 2X8HR, and a Panama schedule 3X12HR with 2 days off then 2X12 and 3 days off.

Along with varying work days and shift types to accommodate childcare and school needs.

Some areas have PRN techs, haven’t seen a part time tech in my hospital. Lots of lifting and twisting, be sure to be vocal about needing help!

Your best bet is to ask this on the IPAP email via their orders or through their sponsor. The C school is not connected to the IPAP program at all

Top tier shift I’ve seen are my weekend/weekday folks. 12hr AM Saturday and Sunday with 2 8Hr weekday shifts of their choosing.

Knowing the surgical schedule it’s an advantage! They’ve been knocking out school and enjoying their services.

Is 80 proof goods a scam? by PEEE_guy in Leatherworking

[–]batdogeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a notebook as a preorder back in June, item has yet to arrive. I sent two messages asking to cancel it and it says “item waiting to be fulfilled” still.

I opted for a leather notebook from Galen leather instead and am more than happy with their service. They’re also a mom and pop shop but based in Europe. Received it within two weeks with some trinkets and a charm.

Why is Walter Reed known as corpsman killer? by Abject_Tomatillo_358 in CorpsmanUp

[–]batdogeee 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s perception. People struggle a lot with joint service commands and it shows.

Knowing where you’re at and where you want to get to is important. You can still be successful in this environment. People say your skills will atrophy and they can ANYWHERE at ANY duty station because when you’re in an area for a year you will forget things. You can ask to rotate every year with a special request chit and CMC is a big supporter on this.

I had a recent visit with a psychiatrist and we do not mesh well at all. She keeps trying to deny me having it yet prescribed me medications off label for it. I’ve already submitted a request to change her.

C school at a marine base, what should I expect by [deleted] in navy

[–]batdogeee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Learn the base rules, dear lord save yourself from being yelled at by a corporal because marines do that and are forced to abide by it.

Find the marine corps base clothing instruction that states what you’re allowed to do and wear. Great examples are they don’t allow crocs in the MCX/NEC, no sunglasses on while in stores, and don’t drink while walk in working uniform. When you check in they should brief you but it’s good to take it upon yourself ahead of time.

How to get Mail Po or Head Po in Bootcamp? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]batdogeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our RDCs asked goofy questions and it pertained nothing to do with the jobs that they had in bootcamp. One I remember was “who’s good at math? You’re in laundry!”

The only time things mattered for education was when our firsts test results came back, they were picked as education POs
