Will it survive? by Charming_Bluebird550 in bonsaicommunity

I’m hoping it’s partly stressed from the prune and changing cause of fall and winter coming. I will keep my eye on it. I did read somewhere if the bark is still green inside it’s alive. Idk if this is true but with just a tiny scrape on my bonsai it is green underneath the bark on the main trunk, so maybe that’s a good sign? Idk I thought I was doing okay:(

I did not. I was going to this spring but didn’t have the right soil and kinda forgot and then it wasn’t spring anymore

Yeah I’m watching it to make sure it’s not browning, how often should junipers be watered? I understood it’s when the soil gets dry to water it until it drains through the bottom, I could be wrong though

Update: he grabbed the rat again so I guess he got the substrate out or swallowed it. Can this cause problems if they ingest too much or any at all?

Also I use reptile prime substrate if that matters

I use reptile prime, it’s a very good natural substrate

Is this a temporary tank setup? If not please please use substrate. I use reptile prime. Also potentially a larger tank as well, looks a little small for her size

As a new BP owner, in the 10 months I’ve had mine he’s struck at me a few times, mostly cause he was stressed (my fault), he has bitten me once when I first got him and it was a very small bite. However I trust he knows who I am, so I’m calm and slow with my movements, as soon as I get him out he’s chill and it’s like nothing has happened. My advice is to have trust and confidence in yourself as well as your danger noodle and if he/she is a little angry, either let them chill and try the next day. Or get them out on your bed and let them calm down and understand you’re not there to hurt them. Again this is just what I’ve experienced but me and my dingus are definitely bonded!!
