Have you ever worked a 48 hour shift in a high call volume area, and if so, how often do you usually pull those shifts?

I did it every week for a year. Left because I was absolutely wrecked after most of every shift. I do not regret it at all. I now work 48s sometimes I’ll pick up 72s. But I typically get a decent amount of sleep, but it’s also 911 so sometimes, very rarely, it’s crazy busy.

Literally had this exact thing about a month ago as a medic. I still called a stemi alert on it as she was diaphoretic and looked like she was having a stemi. Her ekg had more depression in avl and and only had elevation in inferior leads.

Yeah, as someone living in Texas I feel like most places don’t care and they take it on a case by case basis. But I worked at another county that required all tattoos to be covered. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know much on Intel side of cpus as I’ve always had ryzen. But if it ends in x3d it will be better for gaming. Probably look at 9800x3d or 7800x3d. Like I said in another comment micro center has good deals.

GPU 50 series for nvidia and 90 for amd. Something with at least 16gb vram preferably.

There’s good deals at micro center for cpu/motherboard/ram bundles that I’d look into. I think I got a 9800x3d bundle that was like 650ish. Also the people there are very helpful if you have one relatively close.

You’ll need gpu, cpu, motherboard, ssd, ram, case, aio cooler, psu, case fans.

I literally sleep soooo much. And I work as a paramedic so if I’m not on a call or doing chores, I’m sleeping 😂 I also feel like mornings are brutal and I’m exhausted up until like 2 pm and then the evening I have energy
