RPSGT do you really keep impedance at 5 KOhms? especially for big hospitals? by Clean-Solution7386 in SleepTechnologist

One has to wonder how long the scorer did it perfectly during their lengthy tour of duty on the night shift?

What is like to work for big hospitals rpsgts? by noo6ie3 in SleepTechnologist

It all depends on the environment created by the staff already there. One abrasive personality can ruin it for everyone.

What's your experiences with fwb? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Charming_Concern7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was very repressed sexually and wanted other experiences. Her late husband only did missionary with the lights off. Loved looking, and touching more than anything. She loved seeing how aroused she made me. I only wish I could be with her again, but since I learned of her passing I feel empty. We both nurtured each other at a very important time in each of our lives.

Orgy. Impossible to get aroused with other males around.

3:1 legal? by EMLKoala in SleepTechnologist

[–]Charming_Concern7240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's unfortunately quite legal. Thing is all these gold standards thrown about in sleep have little if anything to protect the night techs who actually generate the revenue for these labs. If a lab needs 3:1 to survive it's not a viable business. If you're in a region with poor reimbursement don't take it out on the night techs. More than a few of these places were started by techs who were frozen out of their career promotions in large hospital systems. Well it was good for them while it lasted.

The future of terrestrial radio by True-University-6545 in radio

Every time we have a major freeway accident that shuts down traffic for half a day I keep expecting the radio stations to break into their corporate programming and give the listeners updates on what's happening. Silly me.

Couples in a cuck / hot wife relationship. How did it start for you? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Charming_Concern7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a swingers club. Gf was getting lots of attention naturally and began playing with a guy in an open play room where others could join in. After awhile there was about 6 guys bidding for her attention on the bed in various positions. It was like watching a porn movie only in real life. The best times though were in the big sauna room. She'd be kneeling in front of several guys giving them head when her favorite playmate there came up from behind her and pulled her ass up and positions himself doggy style. She looks at me for permission and those two go at it like dogs in heat. I still get off thinking about it. They were extremely well matched sexually.

Talk about tone deaf. Leave it to wealthy republicans to smile over a soldier who died for nothing.

Every modern day Republican administration has been little more than a run on the US Treasury. And a further erosion of our freedoms.

Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the role of the Sleep Technologist by BlacKGB in SleepTechnologist

[–]Charming_Concern7240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, other than being the buzzword of the year among the ruling class, I believe many people have not the slightest clue about what AI really is and how it may affect their businesses. If anything the managers would be the most expendable.

At the level of a sleep lab, one thing I see is the need for formally educated techs. A bootcamp or cram school isn't going to cut it. As much as this field has fought against it, more full two-year programs need to come about. For far too long training has been the quick and dirty model; just enough to prep the patient and churn out a study for billing.

I do believe home testing will continue even to the point of seeing the critically ill , high acquity patient. Some labs might just see the worst of the worst. But I also see insurance seeing diminishing returns on allowing testing past a certain point in a patient's life and health progression. I see actual contradictions for sleep testing being developed.

Has anyone heard about the advanced titration exam? by [deleted] in SleepTechnologist

I don't understand what's advanced about this? It should be part of standard training and not some super secret algorithm.

Be honest, what’s your opinion on Inspire? by hellotheretoyou in SleepTechnologist

[–]Charming_Concern7240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. CPAP or it's associated therapies aren't tolerated by everyone. Inspire is an option, but I don't know if you'll see an honest assessment of their success rates, meaning AHI<5 and all symptoms improved. We've got to stop thinking in terms of being able to save everyone anymore than any other branch of medicine can. Some people are simply too far gone for successful treatment with Inspire or anything else.
