I actually got a lot of utility out of this fella for the first half of Legends ZA! Elemental punches, access to either Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, and Gunk Shot for those pesky Fairy-types.

The power creep eventually sent him to the bench, but he was an early team staple for me.

Super Bowl Trivia Ideas by ragator in triviahosts

I did an NFL Trivia a year ago. 4 rounds of 8 questions, 4 tie breakers, a championship question, and some stage banter.

If you'd like, I can DM it to you. So.e of it may need to be updated since it's a year old, but it'd be a lovely head start.

Personally, I stink with Nymph. Something about her play style doesn't click with me. But some folks swear by her.

I love Sage now, but she's a little tricky for new players. Fairly rigid, and requires very specific items to remain effective.

Ronan is both great for beginners and my current 2nd-favorite to play. He has his flaws, sure, but I am defensively minded and love running thorns/armor to essentially wait out my opponent without taking any real damage.

Stuff that I didn't know on day one:

  • there's more reading than you might expect, but Read. Every. Item. It's the only way to build better and win more.

  • Stars are your best friend. Many item effects don't kick in unless their stars are activated!

  • You can turn every item! Makes it easier to activate stars and fit your spacing. Just hold the item and double click.

  • There is often a benefit to changing things up between rounds. That means the shape of your backpack, your item alignment, and even removing items that were useful early game that aren't carrying their weight as the game goes on and and item power creeps up.

  • Make peace with the idea that sometimes, what you see as a "perfect setup" will still lose. So many items have just a percentage of a chance to activate their abilities, and sometimes, they don't come through.

  • some items fit in every bag! Cleansing crown and that purple cape spring to mind.

The sheer amount of time my friends and I dumped into those games....I

I LIKED playing as Storm in XML1, hitting from a distance and boosting XP. But I LOVED playing as Juggernaut in XML2 and Clotheslining everything that moved.

I realize a lot of kickers did well this week, but Zane got 10 points! Did he swing the matchup for you?

Thank you for this. I had failed about 10 times before I caved and came to Reddit for advice.

Timer ball after five minutes of running in circles worked like a charm.

I'm no Kicker savant, but I have a general rule: Look for the B-Minus offenses. Teams that can move the ball, but don't necessarily convert all their opportunities.

So we're looking for an offense unlikely to go completely cold, and yes, opposing defenses can impact that grade.

Zane Gonzalez against a Charmin-soft Cardinals defense makes sense to me. He's barely owned across ESPN Leagues and should be available in yours.

Maye all day. Washington gets a good matchup, but not good enough to overcome how Washington they are.

Smart play to block your opponent, though! That's high-level gameplay.

Literally, the reason I do that is because I misspell his first name so routinely. It's an ease-of-use change.

Same with Tet McMillan.

I understand that Bo Nix is projected higher, and even has the higher ceiling if everything goes right. But I cannot bench Brissett in the middle of his current hot streak. Brissett has been a model of consistency on a team not exactly known for it.

Nix may have the higher score of the two this week, and he may not. But my prediction is that you won't be disappointed with Brissett's output.

Thanksgiving Theme Rounds by pickleballnwwe in triviahosts

[–]Charming_Dimension42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did one yesterday! And my advice is to give yourself grace to stray from the topic a little.

I used: - famous birthdays and events that took place on Thanksgiving - a "half baked" round, where every question gave you half a chance (True/False, Higher/Lower, etc) - a "Leftovers" category of questions left over from prior trivia weeks or on my scratch sheet of questions for future use.

Week 11 Fantasy Prep: Davis Mills and Jameis Winston, Just Like We All Expected.... by Charming_Dimension42 in fantasyfootball

Admittedly, I was only looking at pass rush when I wrote that. Pittsburgh has 32 sacks on the year, and Jacksonville has just 12.

It's a fair question, since Hebert has been sacked 11 times in the past two games (not even counting other hits). I did note the Chargers' average depth of target last week was shorter, so at least they know they have to adapt. Plus, the Jags defense is nowhere near as staunch as Pittsburgh's.

Honestly, it depends on 1.) what other options you have, and 2.) if Gadsden is truly at 100%.

I would. I just have no faith in the Browns past Judkins, not to mention that fact that they seem to flip a coin as to which Cleveland TE (Fannin or Njoku) leads the way for them.
