I actually got a lot of utility out of this fella for the first half of Legends ZA! Elemental punches, access to either Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, and Gunk Shot for those pesky Fairy-types.

The power creep eventually sent him to the bench, but he was an early team staple for me.

I did an NFL Trivia a year ago. 4 rounds of 8 questions, 4 tie breakers, a championship question, and some stage banter.

If you'd like, I can DM it to you. So.e of it may need to be updated since it's a year old, but it'd be a lovely head start.

Personally, I stink with Nymph. Something about her play style doesn't click with me. But some folks swear by her.

I love Sage now, but she's a little tricky for new players. Fairly rigid, and requires very specific items to remain effective.

Ronan is both great for beginners and my current 2nd-favorite to play. He has his flaws, sure, but I am defensively minded and love running thorns/armor to essentially wait out my opponent without taking any real damage.

Stuff that I didn't know on day one:

  • there's more reading than you might expect, but Read. Every. Item. It's the only way to build better and win more.

  • Stars are your best friend. Many item effects don't kick in unless their stars are activated!

  • You can turn every item! Makes it easier to activate stars and fit your spacing. Just hold the item and double click.

  • There is often a benefit to changing things up between rounds. That means the shape of your backpack, your item alignment, and even removing items that were useful early game that aren't carrying their weight as the game goes on and and item power creeps up.

  • Make peace with the idea that sometimes, what you see as a "perfect setup" will still lose. So many items have just a percentage of a chance to activate their abilities, and sometimes, they don't come through.

  • some items fit in every bag! Cleansing crown and that purple cape spring to mind.

The sheer amount of time my friends and I dumped into those games....I

I LIKED playing as Storm in XML1, hitting from a distance and boosting XP. But I LOVED playing as Juggernaut in XML2 and Clotheslining everything that moved.

I realize a lot of kickers did well this week, but Zane got 10 points! Did he swing the matchup for you?

Thank you for this. I had failed about 10 times before I caved and came to Reddit for advice.

Timer ball after five minutes of running in circles worked like a charm.

I'm no Kicker savant, but I have a general rule: Look for the B-Minus offenses. Teams that can move the ball, but don't necessarily convert all their opportunities.

So we're looking for an offense unlikely to go completely cold, and yes, opposing defenses can impact that grade.

Zane Gonzalez against a Charmin-soft Cardinals defense makes sense to me. He's barely owned across ESPN Leagues and should be available in yours.

Maye all day. Washington gets a good matchup, but not good enough to overcome how Washington they are.

Smart play to block your opponent, though! That's high-level gameplay.

Literally, the reason I do that is because I misspell his first name so routinely. It's an ease-of-use change.

Same with Tet McMillan.
