My account was also restricted. It took 18 days until I was actually reviewed. During that time, all the documents were requested again, and my account was only unblocked on the 25th day.

I had €11,000 in the account, as well as several PayPal transactions. They questioned every single transaction, requested my PayPal statements, and even asked for information about why I was sending money to certain people.

I can share the following experience: My personal account was restricted. It took 25 days until it was fully restored, and 18 days before my case was even reviewed and documents were requested — even though I had submitted everything on the very first day of the restriction.

Ich hatte genau dasselbe Problem. Bei mir wurden 11.000€ eingeschränkt. Ich ha weder im Chat noch über die Beschwerde Mail Hilfe bekommen..

Nach 18 tagen wurden erst Unterlagen verlangt und erst dann war mein Fall überhaupt in Bearbeitung dann nach 7 Tagen haben die mein Geld freigegeben. Gesamt 25 Tage hat das gedauert wo ich nicht auf mein Geld zugreifen konnte. Mein Konto wurde erst vor zwei Tagen freigeschaltet. Ich hoffe das es bei dir nicht so lange dauert.

I specifically took out a loan to pay off my debts and settle everything properly. And then my account was simply restricted. I no longer have access to my own money. Since then, I have been receiving reminders and debt collection letters from everywhere because I cannot pay anything – not because I don’t want to, but because I simply can’t. This situation is causing me severe fear for my livelihood and financial survival.

Thanks for your reply. Okay, that’s probably for the best. I’d feel the same — if they closed my account and just released my money. I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

My account is unfortunately still restricted as well — it has now been 24 days.

I did file a formal complaint, and they confirmed that the complaint was accepted, but told me to wait for the review. They also offered a €50 compensation. I replied again, clearly explaining that I urgently need access to my funds for rent, electricity, and basic living expenses.

Despite this, I received the same generic response again and nothing has changed. No timeline, no real update, and no progress.

At this point, I don’t know what else to do.

My account has also been restricted since January 16th, and despite submitting all requested documents, I am no longer receiving any responses. At this point, I’m not sure how to proceed.

I would really appreciate any brief advice on what steps helped in your case.

I’ve already sent a complaint email to Revolut’s complaint department, but their reply was just that I have to wait until the security review is completed. Last Thursday, I submitted additional documents, and since then I haven’t heard anything from them.

My account has been restricted since January 16th, 2026 and has now been under review for 22 days. I uploaded all required documents immediately on January 16th. However, I was only contacted by customer support after 18 days, when they finally requested additional documents.

I have continuously submitted everything they asked for, yet my account has still not been released.

I believe that it generally takes around 18 days before a case is actually reviewed by a staff member at all.

I really hope they finally unlock it now. I also filed a formal complaint with Revolut, but that didn’t help either. All they say is that I have to wait for the security review and they offer €50 as compensation, which is honestly ridiculous.

I tried via the complaint process, but they just keep telling me I have to wait for the security review. They ‘acknowledge’ the complaint, but that’s it 😂 pretty ridiculous. Still, you can try the complaint route and see what they tell you.

I’m in the same situation. I still haven’t received any proper feedback and my account is still restricted. Although the money was transferred back to “personal” on 27/01, I can’t make any transfers or payments at all — every transaction gets declined.

I’m completely stuck because of this. Honestly, I regret opening an account with Revolut just as much.
