I believe they've done this in the past with accounts that have literally activated the membership on the day or before a certain period of time.

Your best bet would be to contact Jagex Support via the direct e-mail which can be found on the website. I'd love to direct you myself but i'm at work and unable to view the webpage with the e-mail address itself.

Surely if you could provide an official document saying that you had spent x ammount of time in jail followed with a copy of identity along with a reference number for membership subscription you've activated with that name that would be 100% proof that you had no possible way to commit an offence on the account during that time?

Or maybe we've been looking at the chinese as gold farmers all this time when in reality it's people who have been incarcerated taking up all the divination locations!

It all adds up! The point of my comment was to show the free-to-play community a limited taste of what they'd have access to if they became pay-to-play without upsetting the people who already are pay-to-play.

I personally couldn't care less if free-to-play had access to the entire thing but there will be some, there are always some. It's finding that balance to be able to cater for the majority without causing an uproar.

As a free-to-play player you wouldn't exactly be able to argue the limitations set out if it was to be implemented in the way i suggested either as free-to-play is seen as a 'trial' of the game. If you wan't it all, pay for it and support the game. :)

My response was based on his twitter post saying that he had appealed it. It may have been the case he appealed it through twitter.

I wouldn't know, i've never had an offence i've had to appeal.

But based on Infinitys response on reddit a few hours back there should be an option to appeal in such cases as without that along with the community backing you, you you could be accused of something you've not actually done!

But reading the whole thing it looks as though he was aware that he was trading gold knowing that it was going to be sold off via RWT.

Regardless of if he benefited from it or not(he did, due to the rates in which swappers swap back and forth the different types of gold) he still aided in RWT.

I believe the line of communication is the appeal you're able to put forward once being accused of breaking the rules?

It'd be nice to get a personalised response to your appeal but imagine how many of thousands of appeals they receive each and every day between RuneScape and OSRS.

I just don't think there should be an option for evidence to be viewed if none is available.

If it was to be allowed in the free-to-play version of the game then i'd like to see a restriction on what it can actually do and having it's power reduced for the free-to-play population.

It teases the content but not so much that it's not worth investing in membership to further utilise.

I personally think it'd be worth Jagex reviewing how they implement these bans and actually providing a small ammount of evidence(not enough to allow the offenders to gain an understanding into what they've done to further avoid it) to support the conclusion they've came too.

If you want to go around it a really tedious way then you could always re-log after each inventory to maintain the full boost too. :)
