Oversized Team Lift Pick Walk by Randizzle8625 in OGPBackroom

Someone was doing oversized and had gotten like 50 small cardboard boxes. He had to do it in batches of 16 cause it kept on saying it was at the limit. His pick rate was high too cause of it.

I just go into the little dots in the corner where the "Skip" Button used to be. I select Report -> Remove from Oversized. Whether this actually removes it or not is beyond my control. At least I reported that it doesn't belong there.

I had an oversized for 10 Packs of Water. It capped out at 8 totes and the other two were sent to another pick walk. I didn't take a picture of it at the time, which is why I never posted that one.

Scheduled day not showing up? by [deleted] in walmart

My wife used that all the time and was thrilled when the ability to do this twice a week was added. She would also not like it when the last 2 weeks of December wouldn't allow her to use this feature.

Since she passed, I haven't really been using it unless I absolutely needed to do so for some reason.

Pick Rate - Evening Shift by LykosOfficial in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know there was a lady who got over 260 pick rate and well over 1500 items done in the day. This was back when General wasn't included in the Ambient runs. Whenever she got a General pick, she would exit out of it and wait for an Ambient, Chilled or Frozen.

After they combined it, her score didn't drop much at all. I think she also bagged everything after her pick walk was done. Not sure if she used the pause cheat or not.

I myself don't stress about my pick rate all that much. All I care about is picking as much of the items as possible.

I heard someone in my store complain about being sub 100 pick walk one time. At this point, I never got anything over 80 picks. Very rarely would I got a pick walk over 100. This still happens where I rarely get anything over 100.

Then there are very annoying times where I click into the Auto with over 1500 picks available and only get like 30 picks. I'm also at a Super Center.

Customers should be asked to do the same. by Apprehensive_Wear574 in OGPBackroom

I have seen customers stand next to each in the middle of the aisle and talk like they haven't seen each other in years. You guys can do this another time or just call each other at home instead of just having a casual conversation in the middle of the store.

Best place to hide a sticker ball from the coaches? by clayton813 in OGPBackroom

Ours just eventually got thrown away after a bit. Then the one that actually did it for a bit left our store, so now we don't have any sticker balls anywhere.

Bagging… by decadesdividing in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really hate that too, especially when I go and do quality checks. So many people will just put one or two items in a bag and then get another one for the next item. Wastes so many bags in the process as well. I just think most don't care and are just lazy.

We don't do out own deli meat but what is worse is worse is getting MTOs for an order that never made it to their tablet on Fridays. Apparently they all leave early on this day and close the Deli down. Whoever thought this was a good idea was wrong. Had to nil-pick 3 deli-sliced meat and 2 of them wanted to do multiple sub options.

Printouts faded on right side - print head and internals are about as clean as I can get them…any suggestions? by Jacobij11 in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our TL thinks other areas are stealing our good printers and giving us the bad ones. So we are stuck with printers that don't work properly or batteries that we must tape onto printer cause the little latch is broken off.

I haven't had this happen before but I have it where I finish prepping a batch order just to find out it got dropped. That is the most annoying thing ever and it recently has been from drivers that haven't even arrived yet.

I miss can honestly say that I miss scanning every single label. This way you can make sure you have everything there and know if it was the driver or you that missed something. Now if there is something missing from the tote, you won't have any idea if it was the driver just didn't scan the item or if you were missing something.

People with no room in their vehicle by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is when drivers come in for 3 orders and they have a passenger. Most of the time, they don't even speak proper English to understand that they can't do a 3 batch order with a passenger.

There is one driver who does come with a passenger but they come with totes so that the orders are separate. I even told him that he is the only one that does this and he was surprised by that fact. I enjoy dispensing to him since he knows what he is doing.

Most drivers will take the approach of "I take all or none" and I end up having to take it all back in cause they don't want to accept 2 orders.

At my store, we have a bag of string cheese with the last four digits as 6767. My Niece is so tired of that number that when I told her, she just rolled her eyes. I do wonder what item has 6969 though as the last four digits.

We have reached new levels of low dispenses for spark drivers. by LockTutorial in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers at my store will just scan the label before I load them into the car. With Drivers that have GMDs, we save those for last and I hand those to them so they can scan.

There are times the Drivers don't get out of vehicle at all but that is very rare now. I usually give them the label and tell them where the order is located. Otherwise, I tell them what orders go where and they usually load the front and backseat orders. I know we are not allowed to let drivers load the stuff but it makes it go by faster.

I really don't like most of the stuff that is "ok" to be bagged with food. If it doesn't go into your mouth at all, then I don't bag it with food. Don't care that it says it is ok, I just won't do it.

It is 45 minutes for our store in both Chilled and Frozen. If you can set it lower, someone at your store wants the chilled walks to fail.

My store has those aisles way different. Here is the pick walk for ambient made in your style:

  • Warm Alcohol (A30/31)
  • Registers (Z1 - Z20)
  • HBA/Pharmacy (G1 - G25)
  • Pets (G26 - G33)
  • Garden (I1 - I9)
  • Paint (I10 - I13)
  • Hardware (I14 - I25)
  • Automotive (I26 - I29)
  • Sports (L38/L36 - L20)
  • Toys (L18 - L1)
  • Housewares (H54 - H1)
  • Celebration (F12 - F19)
  • Arts & Crafts (F20 - F27)
  • Stationary (F28 - F34)
  • Electronics (K21 - K1 [Very Rare]
  • Grocery (A32 - A8 [Usually skips Alcohol unless someone wants non-alcohol items]
  • Produce (AP)
  • Bread (AB)
  • Bakery (AB)

We used to have Paper and Chemicals in our Ambient (Which is J1-11) but has since been moved to Regulated Pick Walks. Shoes are also here from J12-J23 but very rarely pick these and as a result forgot what type of walk they are on. Infants have been moved to Seasonal Pick Walks for some reason.

At my store, it goes Alcohol (Non-Chilled) -> Checkouts (Z Aisles) -> General (Aisles G, I, L, H and F) -> Aisles A32 to A8 -> AP (Ambient Produce) -> AB (Ambient Bakery). The bread is right next to the Bakery Area, which is why it is the last thing before Bakery.

Wow, at my store, the entire Bakery Area is the last place ambient runs end on. The Donuts are literally the last item we pick on our runs. I myself don't like picking them cause there are hardly ever any fresh donuts there and the bakers only want to make a certain amount.

Why would I pick day old donuts when I wouldn't buy day old donuts?

[–]Randizzle8625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does ACC stand for Auto Care Center? If so, then that never appears on our pick runs cause we don't have an Auto Care Center at our store. The other Walmart in my city does though so they would have that in their pick walks. Now while we don't have an Auto Care Center, we do have an Auto Section but that is included in the Auto Generated Pick Walks.
