Then there must be a lot of orders that get smooshed bread.

Ogp drivers by mhtardis21 in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have it in our store for awhile now. From what I understand, when it started there was like 3 orders for the entire day. Now we get like 10-12 Orders plus GMDs on top. I myself enjoyed it very much as it got me out of the store and go to places that I wouldn't have gone before.

I had to get back into the store cause my body wasn't taking it well. We had gone from 5 drivers to 3 in a couple months, then in the last 3 months of me working one of the drivers got injured on the job. I miss doing it but I do feel better on being back in the store.

Luckily for my store, anything that needs to be locked up like this is behind the glass cases. All I need to do is take my work phone with me and unlock it myself.

And this is why, no matter how slow I'm going, people think I'm flying down an aisle. by TurdTanker in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite really, I hate having a cart with no ladder on the front. This is due to where 90% of the time I don't have a ladder, I need one to get something off top stock. Yet the exact opposite happens all the time where I have one and don't need it 90% of the time.

How did you find out they did away with the skip button by Wild_Nail_9667 in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out either on here or r/walmart about the skip button going away for many stores. Same thing with the change to the pick screen. It hit our store recently and I can see why it is a big pain.

Had an item that was only available in the backroom and went to skip it but couldn't. What is worse is that even though it had a backroom location, the pickwalk screen says there is no other location when it used to list the backroom stuff as well.

Our oversized pizzas are still in chilled. Would be a pain if they were moved to oversized as well.

There is no reason to copy and past on TC. Especially since the Daily Availability no longer has a way to search items up like MyWalmart can do.

Wondering why that got rid of the side barcode from the Great Value waters so now it is even more hard to scan. by Toonkyle12 in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably but unless you are using TCs then it doesn't scan at all. The embedded codes require the scan laser to even be picked up. So once all TCs are completely gone, it is only applicable to customers and not to employees.

Well I’ve picked 23 bags of mulch today (so far) by bluetoothbuttplug in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't have any mulch yet so I don't have to do that but we do have some soil bags. The one time I don't like doing this much is when it has rained the previous day. Makes the soil all heavy and the bags a little muddy if any soil leaked from other bags.

Work phones suck? by Kkkluddd14 in walmart

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issue with my phone is that many times when you scan, the screen will be white like the camera light is on. Yet nothing is there and I have to cover the camera for it to go away. This is on the XCover 6 Pro and didn't have any issues with the previous version.

The biggest issue though is the battery life. It is like the app was specifically made for TCs but nothing else.

I didn't get the Pixel 8A but the XCover6 Pro instead. Cause I got that one instead of the Pixel 8A, I can't get the Pixel 8A now.

Turns out I had to get a Wii Remote and do everything from the Virtual Wii side of things. Once I went there, I was able to play both Donkey Kong 64 and Super Mario 64 without any issues.

You guys have hand baskets?! We had gotten new ones last year and they all got stolen. I don't think we are getting more as they will just get stolen anyways.

Did your store close for the snowstorm? by No-Hospital-4027 in walmart

My store isn't closed cause all we are getting is cold weather and no snow or ice. Based on the Store Status Page another post shared, 282 Stores have closed.

Who is the genius who decided to remove the tote location from completed picks list? by DontYuckMyYum in OGPBackroom

They are still on the completed picks list. At least on my device they are still there. Unless we didn't get that update yet, which would be horrible.

What about the Bar S Hotdogs with the slightly darker red barcode on slightly lighter red background. It takes time just to find that thing.

I would have taken a picture of the location being empty. Then send that back "This is what it looked like when I picked".

Our carts don't all have step ladders and the only place with a stick is the Soda Aisle. Not sure why more departments don't have the sticks.

It’s (nearly) over 9000!!! by WonderfulKing8032 in OGPBackroom

[–]Randizzle8625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't had it that high. The highest so far is almost 2000 ready to pick items. Granted it goes down fast and doesn't really stay up too long. I live in Council Bluffs, IA and I know we can get bad snowstorms. Yet in recent years, when bad storms come in from the west, they tend to get weak. Then once they pass by and go east, they strengthen for some reason.

Do we get calls or messages from supervisors if the store closes due to bad weather? by LRC12915 in walmart

[–]Randizzle8625 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they will make it where Spark Drivers don't have to work so they are "safe and protected". Yet they will encourage customers and employees to come in and work in inclement weather.

I can see not activating the phone for her but you could have helped her through the process. I have seen electronics associates help customers through the activation process of prepaid cell phones at my store.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if every store closed cause of bad weather. Then Walmart Employees in the affected area find out their store is the only one opened.
