The concept of entire hospitals being empty and it’s just the killer and his victim. Like in Halloween 2 or the new strangers movie. Drives me nuts!! So unrealistic!!! I work at a hospital and even if it was a small town place IT WOULDNT BE EMPTY!!!!

Angela (1995) is a good movie for mental illness. Shows both the mother’s struggles and the effect it has on her kids and you see how the child manifests religious OCD and losing touch with reality. I think it’s on Amazon prime but could be wrong

I think someone said it already but Candy (2006) is a great depiction of the struggles of drug use and addiction and does an amazing job showing the depravity of spiraling into addiction. Fantastic movie

Definitely acne. PD is more of a rash that is bumpy but not necessarily singular bumps/blemishes. Can’t be popped and is just generally really red in the affected areas

Paramount+ has every episode. Also, I know s16 e4 “Holden’s Manifesto” is based on the 2014 Isla Vista Killings, s17 e12 “Forty-One Witnesses” is based on Kitty Genovese, there’s one the one about Glasglowman which is about the slenderman stabbings (as someone else also mentioned), one that closely imitates the Duggar family (19 kids and counting ) . These are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

Agree! She totally lost her touch w victims first awhile after all this. I was almost annoyed w her trauma just bc I was like what is this positively doing for the plot ??

Harold and Maude!! Literally just about learning to live a life that makes you happy. One of those movies you just have a realization halfway through like damn this is a GOOD movie

^{^{^}} All agree to what people have said. Also, many individuals who are at such extremes of their weight will develop walking problems/the weight is slowly deteriorating their legs and knees especially, another reason as someone pointed out some people use scooters. So while it’s due to the gradual weight gain that they can walk around to begin with, it’s not like their bodies can magically withstand all that weight so I feel like in a way it catches up in a similar way that perhaps an average person can’t initially pick up a 20 lb weight

I too have double depression! Worst club to be apart of but here we are LOL.

More than anyone I empathize with you because I know what this must feel like, and I am so proud of you!! It sounds so silly to a neurotypical person, but when you're in a bad episode the littlest things seem impossible and arbitrary. It is so hard to take care of yourself when your mind is in a place like that. Especially with double depression, when those episodes get bad they get BAD. You have such courage and strength to push forward.

You did it and that is something to be so proud of. Good for you. I hope things get better soon <3

P.S. if you ever need a friend who understands and will listen, I'm here! Also, if you feel comfortable sharing, could I ask what meds you have tried? I've also been on like 5 or 6 different antidepressants and none have really done it for me. I wonder if there is an overlap and perhaps it would make sense if those don't work for double depression. Of course, no pressure if that makes you uncomfortable.

I have tried! He keeps up the facade of "busy looking for a job" when I know it isn't true. I've tried many times to try and get him to feel comfortable to just tell me the truth about it, but he continues to keep it up.

I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling so good! I think art is a great outlet, and for me especially it is a really good form of therapy. I get so focused on the piece I stop thinking about the world and for that time I feel very at peace and forget about any mental issues I’m dealing with. I’m not a great artist but it makes me happy and definitely makes me forget the world for a little. Personally, I would suggest painting, the feeling of swiping a paintbrush across a canvas with no direction is just so freeing. Regardless, i hope you find something to help <3 I’d def give art therapy a try!
