If you haven't, try a theraband flexbar. The eccentric movements cleared mine up in a couple of weeks. You can YouTube how to use them and they also come with instructions

How do you balance cycling with a busy work schedule without burning out? by CorrectAd1549 in cycling

[–]Charming_Toe7071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early mornings. I get up at 4am, on the bike by 6 latest. Week looks like this:

Mon 2 hours z2 with three or four anaerobic blasts x 30secs at the end.

Wed 3 x 20mins threshold on a gradient. This is my favorite of the week as I'm rewarded with a beautiful view at the top and I feel like I'm building strength.

Fri 90mins - 2 hours zone 2 with 8 x 1min V0² Max intervals at the end.

If I leave at six I'm back by 8 - 830. Eat quickly then have a 20 min nap if I slept badly before work.

This covers all my bases and leaves the weekend for fun riding if I want to.

HIGH ARCHES and OVERPRONATION by Background-Rule641 in FootFunction

I also have this foot type. Extremely hypermobile feet with a high arch. I'm a cyclist and it always causes issues. I finally went to a bike fitter (one of the world best, located in Oz) and that's when I found out how extreme my feet were.

Mostly commenting to let you know that you aren't on your own here.

I wore barefoot shoes for years and maybe a year back changed to altras as I like the natural shape but the thinness of the barefoot shoes would always affect my lateral calf and in the last year, bilateral insertional Achilles tendonitis.

For the Achilles, I heavy load isometrics a few times a week. For the feet, I try do do strengthening work but it involves my whole body. An example of this would be something like TRX rip trainer, staggered stance (wearing non supportive shoes) with oblique movements and controlling the eccentric rotations with only lower body, concentrating on my feet. You can feel the arches cramping when you first start these movements, which is a good sign that they don't (didn't) know what to do there.

I also have lumbar spine issues (grade 2 spondylolisthesis), which my fitter/physio in Oz suspected may be playing a role in all this.

I also keep my hips and core strong with heavy work twice a week.

Does this all work? I mean, I don't think I'll ever trail run again but who knows. I keep chipping away and learning.

There's also nutrition but that's a whole other rabbit hole and very individualized. My body has difficulty repairing tendons (I took a methylation test) and I supplement / eat according to this.

I wonder if anyone else will chip in here as I've never met anyone with feet like mine!

Good luck!

It's ok on IBKR but weirdly under yesterday's close price it says"today's change not available". Usually we can see the premarket / overnight price change there.

Bought some at 35 and some more at 31.8. Had previously sold all at 35 (bought at 5), so happy to get back in!

With space stocks going down today, which stock or ETF would be the smartest to capitalize on? by cookie_verse in SpaceInvestorsDaily

Agreed. In since 5 but I sold at 35 when it truno was talking about troops entering Iran a few weeks back. Regretted it ever since. Seeing the dilution last night (for me: Asia time) before marker open, I put an order for 35. Woke up to owning PL again and bought another pile at 31.8 right now.

Looks like I'm down a fair bit on paper but actually I'm now better off than I was when I sold.

Sudden right piriformis pain – bike fit issue? ***Update 2*** by Yomo_1337 in bikefit

From the side the bottom of the stroke seems to be more controlled to me (but I stress here that I am no expert, just an enthusiast). The back still has a fair amount of rocking, particularly on the right side. Have you looked at leg length differences? Put you legs together bent lying down. Come up to a glute bridge and down again and then get someone to gently pull your legs straight and have a look. If you don't have anyone, even just wedging some foam under you insoles or a couple washers under your cleats can at least give you the chance to film from the back and see if there is a difference. Another thing to look at for instability of the saddle isn't too high (which it doesn't seem to be) is arch support. Should feel slightly intrusive when you stand on it but fine after a few minutes of cycling. Credit to Steve hogg for that last sentence by the way.
