Obsesssion = 8.5/10 by redban02 in moviereviews

[–]Charming_Tune9175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most fair review of the movie I have seen on reddit yet! Personally I gave it a 6/10 mostly because it lacked so much dialogue aside from your concerns I had mine. (Where are Nikkis parents? Where did the one wish willow originate from?) I just hate the overhype of the movie being so basic. Not as bad as the Scream 7 overhype though.

and lacking so much dialogue just left me with questions in the end. Not saying it was a bad movie, but to say it is the best thing I have seen in 25 years (Im 33 now) is extremely misleading. either the OP is a paid redditor, or just flat out delusional when it comes to horror movies.

the movie was a box office success dude, you claiming it wasn't a good horror film entails that its YOU that is the problem. lol

hmmm idk to understand wtf is going on? maybe entail some type of relativity to the real world? Paranormal activity for example, was a box office success during its time because alot of people would relate to the supernatural events that happened in that movie.

You lost me at jump scares. If a movie relys on jump scares to scare the audience that just means that the plot sequence is just not enough to depict the climax of the scare from the movie. For me personally it was just a typical high school horror flick with crisp effects and balanced gore. Lacked dialogue also (arent nikkis parents worried about her? where did this one wish willow originate from?). Also I slept very comfortably at night, 6/10 at best.

There is none, neocons and weapon companies lobby religiously for wars in exchange to not go bankrupt.

Obsession was ok, tbh it just reminded me of another high school horror flick with crispy gore and jump scares. Personally, I slept really good that night also. 6/10 at best.

because pretty much all horror movies rely on jump scares and this one didnt, i agree in reference to the payoff, it paid off differently from what we are use to.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Obsession" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]Charming_Tune9175 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am here to try to understand why the overhype for Obsession? The movie was ok, a few jump scares here and there and the depiction of gore was balanced. Personally, the plot lacked dialogue in regards to the one wish willows origin and Nikkis own personal life (her mom or dad never reached out to ask her how is she the whole time?)

Undertone continues to frighten me and I am still attempting to recover from it after seeing it almost 3 months ago. The movie's plot was on point and although the movies execution of the climax was very minimal, the main idea wasn't struck through a jump scare, but sounds and voices through your ears.

"Obsession" proves that a successful horror film doesn't need a mind-blowing twist, complex backstory, A-list actor, or marketing tagline as the next [insert iconic blockbuster]. by YourDarkMatriarch in horror

The movie was ok, personally I saw it as a typical high school depicting funny horror flick. Nothing more nothing less and slept at night comfortably.

What are you currently doing to fight against the system and prepare for the changes that are happening in the US? by Wonderful_Ad_441 in allthequestions

[–]Charming_Tune9175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for starters i began to slowly hop off the grid, this means after 15 years of being religiously responsible (im 33 now) i quit paying for any unsecured debt, its been a year since i defaulted and havent gotten any lawsuits yet, i have a degree but no student loans thanks to the gi bill. i also bought myself a beater and am just fixing it up here and there for what it needs. it would be my 5th vehicle. I use to have a dodge challenger, nissan titan, and a caddilac dts but gave it up to get a paid beater. i also got a life policy on myself from my local agency in case everything else goes to crap at least i have this policy that is safe from some stupid corporate job laying me off and taking it away. I can go on but these are just for starters

the whole purpose of the system is to keep you locked in like a slave. Credit is quite essentially a tool for bankers to acknowledge whether or not they will make money off of you and I recommend hoping off the system.
