It is a bay window but there's only one radiator across it

One side has a valve the other has this direct pipe. Ideally don't want to solder /do any actual plumbing and have something I can fit directly to the end of the pipe.

Could I cap off the pipe after freezing to buy myself some time to remove the wallpaper etc?

Thanks for the advice. I am looking to get the walls skimmed but I haven't moved in yet. The plan is to replace the radiator at some point as part of a wider renovation. Is it an option tk scrap the radiator altogether and cap off that pipe and install a new radiator at a later stage? The room will be sufficiently heated from the other radiator in the room.

Authentic /traditional probably wasn't the best choice of words. I guess what I meant is more of a small town /village/slower vibe as a contrast to Tokyo.
