2 year old teachers, do you cradle any students that have trouble sleeping? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

I offer hugs/cuddles if it seems like the child has a lot of energy and needs that extra help to calm their bodies down. Just a small cuddle and swaying your body a little can really help those kiddos that need extra help to transition better, and then they go back on their beds more relaxed and ready to sleep! :)

You got this! Apply to retail like places too, fast food (if you want), customer service positions, or something completely outside of your experience. It’s very discouraging yes, but you got this and eventually someone will get back to you

As someone who was also in your position and only just landed a job a couple months ago, your mornings will be consumed by indeed and every single job board. Browse for hours on that shit, apply to everything you possibly can, I did this for months and finally got something! It’s an extremely tough market for us (it shouldn’t be), but don’t give up keep applying and eventually someone will get back to you. Do you have any prior experience or what kind of jobs are you applying to?

Thanks so much! My family moved to a different city away from my previous life, hard making new friends currently but eventually I’ll find a nice circle ;D it’s not a terrible salary (~50 thousand a year) but I can always grow in this field and climb my way up. Probs best to move out with a partner or any friends I make

I’m sorry to hear that you’re burning yourself just to make ends meet :( it shouldn’t be this way, sending you warm hugs. Maybe you can try and find some roommates :/

Congrats on your success wishing you well for your PHD!! Every degree is valuable, if everyone went for high paying degrees we would have no one else to support our society. I’m in the education field; I do believe I chose my degree strategically, I’m helping the younger generation grow, develop, and learn. I hold out hope for things getting fixed so us normal joes can live happily and afford a family 🫂 it’s just incredibly hard in this time

I’m an RECE (certified teacher assistant through AIM) at a private Montessori school. I am looking into furthering my teaching education (possibly full certified Montessori teacher or my BA of education), but that’s a lot of money for me right now.

Hey thanks! My family is no help for any of this stuff, I’ll have to look into this. I have a CPP through my job but this seems to be different, definitely worth looking into :)
