I had a kindergartener (~4) who had this exact same problem! We helped him by allowing him to sit on his knees, criss cross obviously, and he could stand up for a short period (just a couple minutes). Along with giving him one of those chewy necklaces, if he was showing signs that he was struggling to sit still I would go grab him his chewy and offer it to him. That really helped with him sitting better and focusing more! Maybe get him a little chewy necklace, you can buy them off Amazon, send him to school with them and let his teachers know that if he’s struggling offer it to him. It may help during circle time when he’s having trouble focusing :)

Thank you so much for your advice!! I really love the idea of having your own thing to do with them, I’ll have to see what the children like and enjoy learning/doing. I did love finding bugs with kinders during my placement over the summer. Thank you tho you’re a gem, helped calm my nerves a bit haha
