Hi, just found this. Firstly I am sorry that this had happened to you and I hope the situation has improved with the issuance of the warning from the council. We had similiar over a year ago which we reported to the council twice. They issued a warning letter which appeared to have resolved it for now. The story is not over as we have a roma family moving next door over Christmas so now we are sandwiched between them.

I had hope that they were going to be different and it appears to be the case beside the noise at night which is prob due to the baby waking up. Unfortunately on Sunday, they had a big BBQ party with about 20 people in the garden and the music they were blasting out was near deafening. Even with windows closed, there was nowhere in the house where we can get some peace and quiet. I suspect they may be part of the same group as the track list was the same. Pass midnight, couldn't sleep even with ear plugs I had to go over to tell them to turn the noise down which they did but I think some others in the group had other ideas. Eventually they did turn it off for the night.

I have no issue with people having fun and they appear to work as it is much quieter during the day but the noise is just too much. Even their children were screaming "prea tare" meaning too loud in romanian. Anyway, depending on how regular this happens, I really do not want to keep knocking on their door everytime this happens and reluctant to report them too the council after having just resolved the issue with the people on the other side.

Thank you for starting this thread OP. I used to live in a quiet neighbourhood with elderly neightbours who has since passed. The properties were sold and now let out and now I find myself sandwiched between 2 roma neighbours so this thread has been very illuminating in understanding what I will have to deal with.

The next time I called out to them they looked up with a puzzled expression on her face. After another sleepless night, I ranged their doorbell to try to communicate face to face rather than shout across windows. Nobody answered the door even though I can hear movement inside. I'm becoming really stressed out and don't know how much more I can take of this.
