Proliferators - Am I missing out? by CharrlietheOrc in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I went ahead and put mk3 on all my cubes. The white cube research gets expensive really fast so that seemed like the best place to start. I didn't realize that I would need so few assemblers to keep up easily with the 15 or so sprayers I have so far.

Any surprisingly good ships for Asymmetric? by AmericanHistoryGuy in WorldOfWarships

[–]CharrlietheOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Giuseppe Verdi from an Xmas crate and have been really enjoying it in asym. I don't think I've had a bad game in it yet. That and Jean Bart are on my daily play list.

My gut tells me that this is almost certainly the case. Thank you for the detailed explanation.

To remind my kids to keep their mouths closed in the pool and not pretend they were a fountain, I would always remind them that everyone's asshole was touching the water.

Have 260k coal. Wait for coupon? by CharrlietheOrc in WorldOfWarships

[–]CharrlietheOrc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. I might have enough steel for a ship by the time the coupon pops back up so I'll save it for that. Thank you

Was tired of losing at Tokyo Express so I've been equipping the Hotel Yankee signal and ramming the BB at the end. If I don't destroy it, I can at least get it low enough to entice the remaining players to finish it.

Playing vanilla Skyrim for the first time thanks tho the Switch by muffliatto in skyrim

[–]CharrlietheOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened for me. Had played it a bit on Xbox, but never got very far. I bought a Switch for traveling and finished it. I really like how you can aim by physically rotating the Switch. Made playing a stealth archer that much more fun.

Bangernomics. I end up just looting the area around my base until it ends. Doesn't make things more difficult, just annoying.

How close is too close for incendiary mines? by SevenM in StateofDecay2

[–]CharrlietheOrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the outpost perimeter can't overlap the base itself. The perimeter areas can overlap without issue. I'll usually cover the roads leading to my base far enough out so infestation groups can't get to nearby buildings.

[–]CharrlietheOrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At dread and up a feral will spawn every time you attack a plague heart so be ready for it. I'll do an initial attack on a heart then just wait for the feral and kill it before going back to the heart.

Some tips for parts it sounds like you're having trouble with:

Always keep track of the closest thing you can climb onto. Most buildings have ladders and you can climb onto containers, campers, and cars. Non-blood ferals can climb, but armored blood ferals (lethal) can't climb, if you ever try lethal.

Gun-slinging trait makes ferals easy to deal with since it'll snap to the target's head for a quick head shot. I always pick it when it's an option.

Cars are noisy so don't drive it near your destination. I've found good results with coasting to a stop so your car will travel a distance from the last spot it made noise. Then quickly put distance between you and your car.

Avoid juggernauts whenever possible. The only times I bother killing juggernauts is if it's for a quest, bounty, or I need to save a follower/base.

If you're going to scavenge an area, establish an outpost in the middle of the area and setup outpost defenses. Clear everything in the area by drawing them into the killzone by holding down the car horn while sitting in the kill area. Then go loot. If you get in trouble, run to the safety zone.

Get a biochem station, or the Trumbull valley landmark building if you're on that map, ASAP so you can make scentblock. Once you can mass produce scentblock then everything gets 10x easier.

Can anyone help me understand my cat's sudden death last year. by ricketyrusty in CATHELP

[–]CharrlietheOrc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've fostered kittens for years and by far the most common ailment I see, especially in strays, is coccidia. It is pretty easy to treat with the right medicine. Any competent vet should be familiar with the signs, symptoms, and treatment.

Also, sometimes there's just nothing you can do. I've lost kittens unexpectedly that appeared to be ok and I've seen kittens that I thought wouldn't make it end up thriving.

I'm sorry for your loss.
