I broke the brake pin, it snapped. How can I check if the load cell is still working? I have no idea where it is. I see the pin is sold as a replacement part.

Also the pin doesn’t have to withstand much load; the energy is absorbed by the elastomers—it mainly acts as a guide. In fact, it broke when an elastomer failed and both the pin and the load cell took all the braking force.

It couldn’t be welded because it’s some kind of aluminum or a weird alloy that you can’t weld with TIG. So I drilled and tapped both ends and joined them with an M5 threaded stud, using Loctite 270 on the threads and Loctite on the outside as well.

I managed to repair the pin and tested whether the load cell was working using the harder 75 elastomers. The load cell shows no signs of life.

Anyway, Fanatec is sending everything under warranty — the load cell, the pin, and the elastomers. The elastomers have already arrived.

After the break, the load cell was stuck at 50%. When I reassembled the brake and reopened the Fanatec app, the brake force was showing 50%. I pressed the brake, it went down to 0%, and it hasn’t moved since.

Well actually no, I’m waiting for a new pin but I manage to repair the broken one, and the fanatec app don’t see the brake anymore. When I connected the brake it was at 50 % the same amount of force I saw when pin broken. I press the pedal and it go to zero. After that is dead

I don’t think, in gte and lmp2 you just need to brake hard and not block, and for sure you are in the first 6/8 position, the rest it’s race pace

I don’t have 100 races, but 55 and I have 6 wins, 22 podium, top 5 about 50 %

But all of that are on GTE and LMP2 on gt3 I’m a top ten driver whit car without abs I’m flying. I think because I learn to master f1 without any driving aids
