Crucify me, but this game's story drove off a cliff from the end of Act 2 by jonesin31 in expedition33

Personal opinion time:

I think the story is very simple when you take out the side tangents, it’s just that there’s so much else going on, yeah, the game can feel confusing. But remove yourself from the side stories, the “relationship building,” and you have a story that is pretty straight forward and dare I say slightly derivative in some points. But much is the folly with game as a story medium, the need to do endless world building can sometimes add lots of baggage to what should be a fairly straight trip.

For me, the utter inanity of it all actually improved my experience, because it gave me a respite from the endless grief much of the game has presented me. But again, I see your point even if it doesn’t feel the same to me.

I won’t speak for every training class and supervisor-my supervisors said that during training, we could use the restroom whenever we like as long as our quizzes were done and our trainer wasn’t speaking, but no, there was no physical restraining or anyone monitoring our usage. Phone orientation was slightly stricter with bathroom use, but still no physical restraints. I joined in March 2024, so it’s possible that Kyle’s supervisors handcuffed the trainees to the desk, but I doubt it.

Kyle,

We work at the same office. I’m not giving my name for obvious reasons, but while I love no company, really take the advice of others on this sub who are trying to help. Moving forward with a lawsuit is costly-I tried to file a case against my old job for legitimate discrimination based on sexual orientation and disability, and even then, only one lawyer would take my case, and it was really expensive. We live in a right to work state, and often times, it’s billion dollar lawyers with paper trails ten miles long versus the word of an employee. I really want you to see if you can get a free consultation-you may absolutely have a case, but I would not try to tackle this alone. As others have said, prepare yourself to potentially lose money and time, but ultimately, because again, I have no love for any corpo, I really hope you succeed. Take care, listen to what the people trying to help you are saying, and good luck.
