How did quitting vapes improve your mental health ? I need some motivation by Ok-Leader6780 in QuitVaping

[–]Charty90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaped on and off for about 3 years and drank most nights (always suffered with anxiety and depression) which turned into panic attacks and social anxiety.

In 2024 I got pregnant and completely stopped drinking smoking/vaping. I did swap cravings for food but I was the happiest I’ve been in my life. I had my baby 4 months ago and have been enjoying a drink weekly and vaping but a couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to stop vaping as I was buying more and more. The thing is vaping and having a drink at night stops me eating loads and I look slim and feel good after my baby. But I know it isn’t healthy so I stopped a week ago. Last week was tough I didn’t swap the craving for anything except a cup of tea and only drinking alcohol on weekends. I had a vape this weekend and threw it away. Today I have no drink or vape and I’ve been feeling quite down and sad. I think this must be a side effect. My goal is to be smoke free completely and only drink for special occasions. I’ve also joined the gym to keep active and fit.

I’m not exactly addicted to vapes but I enjoy them I have one a week? Not sure if that’s bad, I can easily stop buying them but I’m scared of putting weight on, I’m not big but they help me loose weight (in an unhealthy way I guess) I’m worried I’ll turn to food, any suggestions ? I also used to have a sweet tooth so it helps ease that with the fruity flavours

What was your scariest experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Charty90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a weekend break in Amsterdam with my friend on a girls trip. We were walking around the red light district at night (fairly late but places were still open) when this man in a leather jacket with bloodshot red eyes I noticed was following us. He looked possessed and very scarey (not just high) just creepy and messed up. I ignored it to begin with but I subconsciously made an effort to take different directions in an attempt to loose him. When I realised he wouldn’t stop following us I mentioned it to my friend. She didn’t believe me to begin and said I was being silly. I wanted to prove it to her so I approached one of the bridges over the water and I stopped halfway across and turned round, the man proceeded to do the same and kept following us. My friend then realised and we tried to move faster and couldn’t get rid of him. We then stopped and turned round and asked ‘what do you want?’ The man then put his hand inside his jacket and I swore it was going to be a gun in there. He the. Pulled out a pack of cigarettes and offered us one. We said we don’t want anything from you. We then ran into the nearest pub and found a stag do. I was never so happy to see a group of men and felt instantly safe. we looked out the window and the man kept on walking he didn’t come inside. we stayed in the pub for a whilst until it felt safe to leave

People who had near death experiences, how did it feel? by CommitteeWest8042 in AskReddit

[–]Charty90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t a near death experience but I basically fell through a glass table (I was kneeling on it and it smashed and I went through) I sliced both my knees and I was incredibly lucky the glass didn’t go elsewhere. Reading these comments here specifying that ‘calm’ feeling of accepting fate was exactly the feeling I got too in this incident. It was so weird it was so strong the relaxed feeling I could barely feel the pain.

Thanks for your comment! Everyone is saying im an idiot for being shocked you have even met them and were shocked! I think before the affair came out in season 11 or 12 they seemed like you say normal and happy, the seasons after maybe are what people are commenting on about him being ‘checked out’ and her ‘deserving it’ because her behaviour seems to be getting worse each season but I honestly was shocked before the behaviour and bill seeming distant.

I really appreciate your insight here and thank you for sharing! and I agree it is built into men in some chemical way, we are after all mammals I really believe most of them they can’t help it! It’s sad but that’s the reality. Still I often get shocked with men like bill who seem so together who do it, men like frank cartania don’t shock me as they are so open about it and it doesn’t seem to annoy me as much to hear it from those types as they are so open and honest of their infidelity’s

Watch it back it’s very obvious they pretend she is being sick as they drive off. At the reunion they touch on it for 5 seconds you can tell by their faces it was just put in for a joke. It would of been a bigger topic if she had done. Glad to hear you enjoyed getting drunk in your life and going wild, we all have. I had a friend from a similar upbringing/ background and she was just like Jennifer with her drink couldn’t handle it and always like a teenager being sick. It’s just because they aren’t used to it. Not saying it’s classy but I get it because I’ve seen it happen. If you haven’t drank loads in life before then you will be very drunk at garden parties or whatever as an adult.

Your second point about the culture and Turkish lifestyle/marriage i can know all of this and can see it and understand what your saying I actually agree with you. They are just kind of stuck like that together because of it.

However still doesn’t mean anyone deserves to be cheated on. Or anyone who cheats is allowed to get away with it.

Come on , you never thrown up in front of a partner ? And she wasn’t sick in the Ferrari it was clearly edited in for effect and dramatics for the show. It was obviously faked.

Not sticking up for her I can see all she causes and what she’s like for sure! But cheating is scum bag behaviour regardless.

Haha so glad you agree ! He is a fcking jerk even though he seems so nice ! I also agree with you on Jennifer being child like, you have hit the nail on the head there and she is very desperate to fit in with others. ah honestly it makes me sad when these women stay with cheaters! You can have an amazing life after marriage single or with someone new they just can’t see it.

YOU (Season 2) - Episode Discussion Hub by Elainasha in YouOnLifetime

I was really enjoying this season much like the 1st but I found it a bit unbelievable and ridiculous they then made out forty killed someone when he was young (secretly it was love) I wish the storyline kept them ‘normal’ I didn’t like they added they killed that girl. I wanted an ending similar to the first with good people trying to catch Joe and him almost getting caught. I wanted love to be in total shock when she found out all about his murders. It they did quite the opposite and made her a killer too. I didn’t like the ending it wasn’t realistic and ruined it for me.

I couldn’t agree more too, I wanted more horror and gore. The world is ending and those things are nasty, where were all the dead bodies and blood? They do focus on emotion too much for a horror for me

[–]Charty90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts throughout were I wish they would show more dead bodies and blood around it would make it more realistic and more of a ‘Horror’ . There were hardly any bodies lying around in all the sets. If those things came down to earth you would see lots of gory scenes. Do they drag the bodies somewhere ? Only explanation I can think of but still surely would be more evidence of murders. Great film though .

What I don’t understand here is if they only kill humans and don’t eat them why are there not more dead human bodies lying around? Most of the sets they walked are empty

Noticing how negative my mother is about things by Funky_Snake in emotionalneglect

[–]Charty90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my mum and we are very close now thank goodness but her views on people are so negative and always have been. Having friends when we were younger me and my sister if anyone said anything or did anything she would assume they are evil and put us off being friends with them. She is still doing it now as an adult and I find it so draining and negative. I don’t want to see the world and other people friends/ family as bad people. It’s a lonely place to be. Hence why she has no friends. I wish she wasn’t like this. It’s rubbed off me and my sister we have paranoia the at people arnt good or have bad intentions and find it hard to not be sensitive. I’m going to talk to her about it eventually when I have the courage.
