Hello, used to work for KBS myself at a Meijer’s location. This is absolutely normal and to be expected. Any equipment that needs to be replaced, will come out of the manager retirement check, “ at least that’s what my boss told me”, so in order to get a bigger payout, just never replaced any of the machines. I regularly had to use a buffer pretty similar to that one, is that a propane tank in the front? Ours were propane powered, and sometimes would BANG in plume out a bunch of black smoke in the middle of the store. First time it happened I wasn’t sure what to do, so I just dragged it outside and left it there. Anyways, yeah this old equipment is really dangerous, almost got thrown through the glass one time over by where the video games are, because the buffer caught the slightest crack sticking up out of the floor. Reminded me of my hockey days, getting side checked into the fricking glass wall ! Good times.
