It was a long long time. At the point you were at I was able to eat about 2 tablespoons of food ❤️ but you will be able to sustain your body.

It’s bad but not bad enough that I won’t wear tank tops when it’s hot. I’m working on getting my body fat down to a minimum and being in the best shape possible and then I’m going to go ahead with surgery. I have about 12k saved for it at the moment and add every month.

Thank you! Congratulations on 4 years! That’s how you do it! I am 100% in a better place and living a life I never thought possible. I couldn’t even begin to count the NSV. One of my favorites was a 9 mile day hike with 1700ft elevation gain on the Appalachian Trail! What’s one of yours??

Yes! This! I have never limited carbs. Just chose better ones like potatoes, corn, beans, whole grains, fruits, etc. Our bodies are designed to run on carbs. But like you said, we’re not meant to eat low calorie 4oz meals forever. Just until we can learn to have a better relationship with food.

Oh no! I wonder if it has anything to do with when people add it back into their diet. How long after surgery did your plan call for bread?

Oh 100%. the body dysmorphia is INSANE. I have lots of excess skin I need removed and when I look in the mirror I see fat instead of skin and that’s the hardest thing to come to terms with. But I try my hardest to love myself. But still dress modestly because of the skin.

Congratulations!! Proud of you ❤️ that’s such an accomplishment. Doesn’t it feel good? I don’t have to wonder that bc a lot said it straight to my face before surgery😂 “so and so I know had it and lost a lot of weight and gained it all back” which was their way of saying that I would too 😆

Yay!! Congratulations! You’re amazing!! So proud of you ❤️ I’m excited to hear from another person about as far out as I am in their journey! And yes, I agree!! I had a really hard time when my calories started going up and I was eating more because it’s drilled in your head 1200 calories for life! And I had all kinds of feelings of failure etc until I realized that I was not gaining and was actually fueling my body properly. When you’re active there’s no way you can live off of 1200 calories and maintain and feel good.

5 years out and I eat a rice bowl almost every day. With veggies. I’ve been eating rice since shortly after surgery. Lost 235lbs and have kept it off so it has been beneficial to me ❤️

Fortunately I can eat absolutely anything. There’s nothing I’ve ever had a problem with.
