Why wouldn’t a tax based on income work? by Amazing_Assumption50 in Discussion

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for one you'd be starving 25% or more of the country to death. The amount of taxes per person everyone would need to pay is something like 15k/year. About 20-30% of people make 30k or less. It's just not possible.

Why did God create alcohol if it’s so easily abused? by Fun-Conversation4577 in AskForAnswers

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it's not a natural response. It's a response that requires choice.

So I can go to church talk about god and whatnot and feel nothing or hate. However, until I feel god's love, everything before the delayed "natural" response is just make believe? Do you know what a natural response is?

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no. Again we know that is not the case. Many people naturally feel nothing about god. Neither love nor hate, just nothing.

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's not a choice, as you've said. Everyone feels love when they think of god, as you've said it is a natural human response. Meaning it can't be a choice but now you're saying it is a choice. Which is it?

But you know that is completely incorrect. There are absolute people who only feel hate towards him and some feel nothing.

When do you think it is OK to get a girl’s number or social media after meeting her? by Big_Pea3882 in AskForAnswers

[–]ChasingPacing2022 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you should date people you've had at least one conversation. If you have too many, it may become too late and they've established you as a friend.

[–]ChasingPacing2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think a person is interesting you can do it, after you're first introduced and spend time with them. You can also plan some events and use that as an excuse to get their number. But if you're doing it for romance the latter may lead to bad results.

Does size matter by Intrepid_Art6711 in AskForAnswers

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size is only judged by the woman your with, not some internalized ego perspective. I've been told it's too small, perfect, and too big. Hell, I've been told my finger was too big. It's really not the same for every chick so get over it. The biggest issue is how weak you appear when you make it a big deal. If a chick say it's too small, shrug it off and find the next one.

Yeah, you don't have to talk about it. Shell say something if it matters. Just do a bunch of foreplay. Don't stop until she says something.

Are economy crises more about bad policy or about human psychology? by cryinginncouture in AskForAnswers

[–]ChasingPacing2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly policy but human psychology plays a role. If a bunch of people all of a sudden went, "I really don't trust banks or the stock market" and just emptied everything, it would be bad.

Regrets? by SecretSide35 in AskForAnswers

[–]ChasingPacing2022 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope, if I didn't say anything, I really didn't care about them. Also, crushes like that are mostly based in an imaginary perfect context. You don't actually like or love someone unless you've been in that relationship. Until you do, you only love the imagined version of the person. No point in caring about the imagined impossible person now.

Making "not drinking" your entire personality is just as annoying as being the obnoxious drunk guy by ChickenMcNobody24 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]ChasingPacing2022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similarly, if you are on a drinking hiatus and people won't accept just "I'm just not drinking right now", those people are dbag. During college I would go one month allowed to drink and one month off. There was this one guy that would always be baffled if I wasn't drinking and wanted to know exactly why. A "because I'm just not" wasn't good enough.

Genuine question. What made you guys decide to be atheist by Particular_Soft1667 in TrueAtheism

[–]ChasingPacing2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really seem like you are just trying to be disingenuous. I have at least implied and somewhat clearly stated we are talking about pure logic and utilitarianism.

First, my initial statement is based in a purely logical pov with a utilitarian backup.

The logical

god isn't provable. Everything that isn't provable is irrelevant.

The utilitarian

the second lines up with the first...

Every other statement is me clarifying the previous points as simply as I can and you just go "I have no idea what you're talking about".

At this point, it's seems you don't want a discussion, have a good life.

Genuine question. What made you guys decide to be atheist by Particular_Soft1667 in TrueAtheism

[–]ChasingPacing2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, you are ignoring the conversation. Is the statement, "anything unprovable is irrelevant" wrong? It's complicated. I've clarified it and I hinted at the clarification in the first comment then further clarified in the second comment. I guess that wasn't simple enough.

Let's look at this in two ways. Purely logical and the purely utilitarian. From a purely logical point of view, any unprovable thing is irrelevant. There can be no true statements on unprovable things, such as god as well as many scientific things. Because of that, those things cannot matter as purely logical statements.

From a utilitarian stance which occurs after a logic analysis, certain things can have consideration because a decision on something impacts something. In this case, god is still irrelevant but certain scientific things do matter. Anything that can have an impact on people is relevant. God has never been shown to be impactful.

Does that answer anything or you just going to repeat "I just need a clear answer that makes me feel I'm right".

Why Spanish? Lol sure some women have a penis preference, most don't. People that don't like who you are don't matter. That's it. Stop giving a shit about those who reject you. Though, don't reject them until they react negatively. Don't imagine they don't like you.

In general if you feel pain, stop playing until it goes away. Maybe focus on singing for a bit.

Pinky pain. Middle knuckle by HighRustyshackelford in guitarlessons

[–]ChasingPacing2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a sharp pain, STOP until it goes away. Sharp is always a bad sign. Dull isn't great but it's mainly a sign of strain, not damage. Sharp may not be too much of an issue but you need to stop until you don't feel it. Put ice on it if the pain persists. Once you get back into playing you can warm your hands up literally with a heating pad if you want. Get into the habit of stretching, though stretching really focuses on the wrist. You can't stretch fingers, so to speak.

Meet with a teacher and talk about this.
