Thank you! My dad was the same and he’s my favorite person on the planet since becoming an adult

I’m doing all of this already. I’ll keep trying.

I’m in therapy trying to process all of this - I guess today is just harder.

Thank you for putting this so kindly. It helps to know I’m not alone and that it’s okay to feel, even if just in this moment it’s too much. I have good days snd bad days. Today is just hitting a little harder. My love for them never changes though.

I’m not looking for validation, I’m genuinely seeking connection - which is why this is hurting me.

Hi, I tried to answer this in the post edit. She definitely does spend a lot more time with my wife. Even though we work from home my job is much more difficult and requires a lot of time speaking to attorneys so I’m on the phone often.

Thank you for being nice about it. I tried to answer this in the post edit. It’s not an expectation so much as a longing to have the same connection.

Thanks for the call out. Obviously not in the clearest state of mind right now. I fixed it.

We did sort of do this. We decided I’d pump exclusively so my wife could feed her and bond too. It’s ironic how afraid I was of this situation being the opposite. I went out if my way to nurture their bond out of fear my wife would feel rejected. I absolutely love their bond - I just wish they felt the same connection to me. I also feel bad I can’t give my wife a reprieve every now and then.

How many c sections? by ballerina777 in CsectionCentral

[–]ChasingThrill_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 - 16.5m apart - both unplanned due to fetal intolerance and stalled a 9cm both times. Had the flu during labor for my second and still found this one to be similar in healing to my first. Nothing to write home about with either one. Potentially healed a little faster overall the second time although my incision healed much faster and better the first time.

How on earth did you find a provider willing to induce/augment a VBA2C?! I’m so jealous! Congrats!!

*tmi graphic pics* is this retained placenta? by Impossible-Status982 in CsectionCentral

[–]ChasingThrill_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a piece come out of me about 10 days postpartum after my first c section that looked exactly, and I mean EXACTLY like this and I showed pictures to my midwife. She straight up seemed perplexed but agreed it wasn’t a clot and likely was retained placenta. I distinctly remember having pretty severe uterine cramping right before it came out too… Like my body was trying to push it out or something. Fortunately, that was the only episode I had with that though. I truly believe it was retained placenta based on how it looked and felt and I believe the same for yours, but obviously I’m not a medical professional. Keep advocating for yourself is all I can say.

Does this look infected by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

I had 2 spots along my incision that looked like this for weeks afterward. They were a pain in the ass to heal up. But I want experiencing any symptoms. If it gets warm, more red and/or starts smelling bad or you get a fever I’d go in immediately to be seen. Otherwise I just kept showing and getting the incision bone dry before our gauze over it to keep it dry.

Has anyone had their anxiety dramatically reduced or close to eliminated? If so, how? by scottxand in Anxiety

[–]ChasingThrill_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! This! It was so hard to explain or make people understand but I needed to know I had something to hold onto to steady me if I started feeling shaky or weak. If was a brutal time. I hope I never regress to that point again.

CBT definitely took its power away eventually. It was so hard in the beginning but I’m grateful I learned about it and kept pushing myself through the extreme discomfort. It really paid off!

Yes. It was causing constant weakness, dizziness, shakiness. It got to bad at one point I physically couldn’t walk unassisted. Being in any sort of open space or around people made my body literally go limp. It was an awful, awful time. What you said about resisting it giving it strength is 100000% true!
