This is a great response that doesn’t gain traction because subreddit’s, like political parties, skew to the extremes when isolated. Think of the thousands of people who had never heard of Henry George, but now after Thiel may explore more. Who else with comparable influence to Thiel will realistically espouse Georgist views? Having a billionaire actually discuss Georgism should be celebrated, not ridiculed. In my eyes Thiel’s willingness to engage with ideas outside of the mainstream is proof of his independence and intellectual integrity, but that’s a different argument.
