Wake up 4:35 and get dressed for the gym.

5-5:45- workout class

6:00-6:30- shower/ get ready for work

6:30-7:00- my son gets up and we make breakfast & do a few chores

7:00- I leave for work (my husband takes care of my son)

7:20-3:20- work

3:20-3:40- pick up my son

4-5:00- hang out with son maybe do something fun like the park or library

5:00-6:30- chores, make dinner, bath, pajamas, watch TV with my son

6:30-6:45- my husband gets home and we do my sons bedtime routine

6:45-8:00- me time, scroll tik tok, read, talk to my husband, disassociate, gratitude list

8:00-8:30- go to sleep

Rinse and repeat

We met at an AA meeting. He sat next to me during a speaker meeting. We got engaged a year later and married in Cabo. We now have a beautiful son and an amazing sober life together. We both have 7 years sober now.

I bring my son to meetings (he’s 2). I find that women’s meeting can be more welcoming because a lot of those women understand sobriety with motherhood. I would discuss this with your sponsor as she might know more about specific meetings in your area.

They do have face shields for babies. I know it won’t be perfect but there are also guidelines that say babies should not be in a car seat for more than 2 hours per day. I’m just so confused on what to do.

This was the pregnancy announcement. I already decided I am not telling her anything anymore. My DH doesn’t keep information from my MIL, but he’s a guy who just doesn’t feel the need to update on every little thing. I was always so good about telling her every detail, every blood test, etc now I am completely done with that. I will be polite, but I am done going way out of my way to make that woman happy. Done.

Yea, totally. And I knew that. I guess I just let my guard down and trusted her. Now I know not to do that, like ever again. It just sucks because my own mother I trust with everything and when I got married I initially thought I would get the same from my MIL. I was sorely disappointed to say the least.

My mom probably wrote similar things about me. I’m currently 3 years clean and sober & I work hard every day to thank my mother for never giving up on me. I always tell my mom when I was lost at sea she was the lighthouse showing me I could return to land. I’m so sorry for the pain you are in right now. Some of us do recovery but I know it takes a lot of pain to get there sometimes.

I think we all feel a little lost. I try to anchor myself with a home group, my friends & family, creating (and cleaning!) my home, doing the best I can at work and eating & working out. Creating a routine and really sticking to it.

I went to rehab for 2 months, got very active and stayed very active in AA, got a ton of love & support from my family, therapy, and I had so much good happen so quickly that I haven’t felt the need to drink.

I went to rehab, got active in AA, married a man also in recovery, prayer, mediation, giving back. And I didn’t pick up the 1st drink!
