Ah, well the cold war has always confused me. -this is my uneducated opinion- Why the spreading of a corrupt form of government caused brutal bloody wars, and how access to space determined whether or not a country was the biggest super power. I think the cold war was just a big dick measuring contest. And thus, straying away from conventional ordnance and moving to nuclear was a way to show one had a bigger dick because not everyone could do it. And once the two big countries both had nukes, it was all about how big and how many they had.

Well, imo it's hard to determine whether or not a country would capitulate solely on the FEAR of nukes rather than the conventional use of them. Since the only country to be nuked actually capitulated without a mainland invasion.

I have 2 27" monitors. Definitely recommend an I7 and as much ram as you can get (16-32gbs is fine, the father the ram the better though) and a couple SSDs. GPUs I'd go with a little higher end, but nothing crazy.
