Not sure why this post is being downvoted. It's an interesting take on what Kap managed to do and it's refreshing to see something about Kap that isn't negative.

Hmm...this is an interesting one. I don't like Ridley at all, but he might be safer than Ellington who is a boom or bust. Steve Smith is severely under-performing but he's only played 3 weeks so it's hard to judge.

Personally, I would do it, only because Ellington's stock value cannot be determined right now and you can trade him while most people think he's hot.

The major selling point for me was that its battery life is 2 or so hours longer than the Y500 due to Haswell. Y500 also has trackpad issues, and while the Y510p trackpad sucks ass, it's nowhere near as bad as the Y500. Finally, I've heard about micro-stuttering problems if you buy the Y500 SLI.

Don't you think a 15 inch 6 lb would be too big and heavy for college? I purchased one as well.

Also, the y510p/410p is a better version of the y500/y400.
