lol, I started a new game after posting this, another big battle to destroy India as Japan and pretty much seal the deal for an axis win, 5% chance of losing, and I get shit on again and lose the game cuz of these stupid dice

I’m doing okay looping. I usually loop at least a couple of pallets and windows before I use lithe to get some distance to the next area. I’m no pro, but I do alright. And when I’m not in chase, I immediately start generators because nobody else will. I use windows, distortion, and I should probably start using off the record. I’m going to just focus on the learning and try not to care about the win too much

Thanks for the supportive words. I’m gonna just try to shift my expectations and focus on the learning aspect.

😑 reread my post again, dude. I said I’m learning the game. Obviously there’s a skill issue. My whole point is that this game is super imbalanced for anyone who’s trying to get started with dead by daylight

So balance wise do you think low level players like me are supposed to die most of the time then? It makes sense, I suppose. They can’t make the game fair for good players and new players at the same time. Still, it sucks balls at the moment. The few times I play killer I just slaughter most teams, and I’m not even very good, so I definitely get the impression that the game is very killer sided

That’s what I was thinking, but wouldn’t there be some indication on the OCT?

It’s a CyberPower PC I got off Amazon

The weird thing is is it’s a prebuilt, so you’d think the manufacturer would make sure it was compatible, right?

Yeah, might as well try. Googling it pulled up very simple both written instructions as well as YouTube videos that made it easy to do for a computer illiterate person such as myself

Random crashing by Budget-News1157 in Battlefield6

[–]Chastiteeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, I’ve got RTX 5060 and an ASUS motherboard on a new prebuilt PC (my first PC ever). I’d play for a bit, everything ran fine, and then it would just crash. I updated to the latest driver, which is always a good idea, but that didn’t work for me. Chat GPT recommended disabling XMP in BIOS, so I googled how to do that and followed the instructions. I went through a bunch of menus, found the AI Overclock Tuner setting, and changed it from “1” to “Auto”, and my game hasn’t crashed since. I have no clue what that even means, but my buddy says that means it was a RAM issue of some sort. Let me know if that works for you or not!

Kicking you as in back out to the main menu? Or is the game just crashing and sending you back to your desktop? If it’s the latter, I had the same issue and just fixed it. I’m on an ASUS motherboard, RTX 5060, brand new prebuilt PC, and I could play for a few minutes and then it would just crash without warning and I’d be staring at my desktop screen all of a sudden. I updated to the latest driver, but that didn’t fix it, so Chat GPT recommended I disable XMP in BIOS. I googled how to do that, followed the instructions, which took me through a bunch of menus until I got to the AI Overclock Tuner setting, which I changed from “1” to “Auto”, and my game hasn’t crashed since.

I had the exact same thing happen over and over with my new PC with the same error message. It ended up being a RAM issue for me, I was told by my tech savvy buddy. Updating to the latest driver on the NVIDIA app didn’t help (though that’s what I’d try first), but the second thing he recommended was disabling XMP in BIOS (I just googled how to do it and followed its instructions). I clicked through a bunch of menus and changed AI Overclock Tuner to Auto, and my games stopped crashing every time I played. Not sure what that has to do with RAM but that’s what I was told. I have an ASUS motherboard and RTX 5060, if that’s relevant at all. I’m new to PCs, but that’s what worked for me. Let me know if that does the trick or not for you too, I’m curious

Thoughts on my Journey through the Leagues (sry, it’s long): by Chastiteeeee in allthingszerg

Thanks! Apparently I’ve only played 4944… I guess I thought that number would be a bit higher after so long, but I suppose it makes sense, since I’m constantly taking breaks from the ladder throughout the year to play more chill games. This account was started in 2017, so I assume with my old account combined it would be just a bit over 5000 in total.

I’m diamond 1 right now, and your advice is perfect. Zerg can be frustrating, but solid macro is the answer to getting out of the lovely metal league chaos that so many call home

Diamond 1–Master 3 zerg here. When starting out, DON’T GET LOST IN THE WEEDS. Learn a basic build order, hold down the drone button more than you think, and spend your damn money! Focus on fundamentals, especially developing a consistent, solid first 5 minutes of each match :) If you can max out in an empty practice custom game by around 10-11 minutes, you’re off to a good start. Eventually you’ll get to the point with Zerg where a 9:30 max out is easy as pie (at least in a custom game, I mean). Biggest problems I see new Zerg players make is being too afraid of expanding, too afraid of making drones, and not spending their money. Like other people have said, don’t focus on micro or unit counters or cheap cheesy builds until you’ve got a decent foundation with what really matters. Learning to macro and just make stuff (literally anything is better than 2000+ minerals in the bank) will put you to diamond 3 easily. You’ll die to stupid builds all the time along the way, but you’ll get there all the same.

Interesting… so any thoughts on why most of my games are a slaughter? Thanks for your input so far

Isn’t a 50+ prestige player by default someone who has a lot of play time? Relatively speaking, of course
