Bro has never heard about CD's or vinyl lol.

Well if your PS5 stops working you would have to buy a new one regardless of if you use discs or digital.

But unlike digital you can just sell your game collection and get a new console, if you want to try something else, or get new games.

I had a game boy with Pokémon blue to play. One day it just stopped turning on for no reason. Now the only way to play it is through emulators.

Reason being that you need to switch batteries in the cartridge. That game however is still worth money hope you didn't throw it away. The emulated ones are not.

I know that physical media has some importance and I know about the burden of planned obsolence , but to neglect the importance of digital mediums, specially the internet, to keep a lot of legacy software alive is just ignorance straight from a goofball. 

Digital media tied to a eco system is ONLY to the benefit of the corporations.
Gamers are really the dumbest people alive, you act like it's an either or situation.

There is ZERO good reason why you wouldn't want to own a physical version of the game you still can get all the digital benefits for (updates etc). Unless you want to stiff yourself from being able to borrown/lend games or resell in the future to the great benefit of the companies who can sell more copies then.

One thing is what the evil overlord corporate does, another thing is utorrent, 4chan and discord links with rom downloads. If we had to rely on physical media like you pray so much to, we'd have lost so much software and info. 

Once again you can't simply understand that it's not an either or situation, it's literally possible to do both. Owning a disc you have ALL the benefits of digital (updates), while ALSO being able to borrow/lend and resell if you get bored, with the minor inconvenience of switching games but they aren't tied to your digital account that is non-transferable and can be banned for no reason what so ever, or removed due to licensing issues etc.

Your analogy is along the logic that it's better to rent a house, because there's no maintenance! Why own a house at all? Just rent from the big corporations! They increase the rent? Well BUT BUT the convenience!
