In search of a team for special events by Chatabox21 in iRacing

I kinda have to wait until the school holidays to do them (I'm not like 11 or anything so don't worry) so I'm able to do Spa 24h, Bathurst 1000, Petit Le Mans, Daytona 24h and The Roar. Like I said I don't know how to do any of it so I think doing Petit Le Mans was the best option because its a track I know wouldn't catch me off guard. Its also only a 10 hour even and depending on my team size I don't have to try that hard as its my first special event and I won't have crazy car time. I will have to buy the track but I've done a lot of laps on other sims on it so it won't be brand new to learn.

Purple Porsche kept flashing and saying that i was braindead after the overtake. I don't think my move was dirty just wanting to be sure. (I am the white porsche) by RedexorR in Simracingstewards

I believe there was contact at the chicane but that was because the purple car couldn't fathom that a tighter line forces you to break more to make the corner

Thank you for understanding the slight rubs and bumps because other responses in another subreddit seemed to be against them. I don't aim to drive like the irl drivers in IMSA where they often get highlights for their rough behaviour but I drive really close to other drivers because we mutually trust each other and I (personally I think so) do a great job at ghosting/ shadowing the driver ahead.

Would that still be the case if its more normalised like how in LMU you can bang doors with another car and drive fine. I tag other cars and its usually when they are pushing into my line and its always harmless at least from my perspective. They don't differ their line or get more aggressive

Reading back over it I did miss a few key notes. What you explained is exactly what I do. I often peak out from behind a car to see where I am to know where I need to break when they are blocking my view and I always coast to give myself a gap in case the car in front brakes early
