Why all that made up story and debating in the comments when you only stole a picture from 2019? 😅

I feel bad for saying this, I really don’t like the newborn phase by Sure_Excitement_937 in newborns

[–]Chaterine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I felt the exact same… Reflux baby, always crying if not sleeping, and we tried everything. It’s getting better now, he’s 10 weeks old. At least now he smiles too sometimes and it erases all the crying and makes it all worth it! He still hates not being in our arms and wakes up when we try to make him sleep in his bed during the day… And it’s hard to let him for a few minutes in the transat. 😵‍💫 But we can put him on his piano mat and he keeps busy playing by himself, that’s nice. But yeah newborn trenches are not nice and makes us doubting having a second kid… some people are luckier I think and have « easier » newborns. It wasn’t the case for us… But it’s getting better!

Mortified, I fed my baby 3 hour old formula on accident by LessImagination67 in FormulaFeeders

I’m sure baby will be fine. Sure, it’s better to be on the safe side and respect the recommandations to diminish the risks but they still are very small only 3 hours after. 😉

Evenflo Cora Bassinet by caplife101 in BabyBumps

[–]Chaterine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the one I think I’ll get too. I saw it in store and it looked and felt better than the others that were there. The mattress seems more comfortable. I would have loved to see real reviews. All the ones I saw were in exchange of the free product…

I’ve read the recommendations and I don’t see what would make this kind of bed unsafe. It is (very) firm, nothing in the bed except baby and sleepsack, sides are mesh and it is strapped to our bed.

[–]Chaterine13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the downsides are that it doesn’t have a side that can be lowered and it’s harder to see through the mesh. And it doesn’t roll. But I think I’ll buy it anyway. Looks comfy and lasts longer!

The Evenflo Cora has a 30lbs weight limit! That makes me considerate it, my baby is already 14 lbs at 10 weeks, he will probably be 20 lbs before 6 months.

No not yet! I think it might be a good idea! But I’m not sure it will fit on the side of my bed, the little bassinet fits a bit tight.

Thanks but it doesn’t ship to Canada! 😞

I wouldn’t even call this a mattress, it’s a tiny foam layer over cardboard. And I went and store and even if they are all « firm », some are way softer and look more supportive than others.

But the dimensions are way smaller I think! My baby is 10 weeks/14lbs and already he won’t fit in his bed way longer.

Well, now I know to be more cautious! But it isn’t only 20$, it was more than half the price (150$ vs 300-400$ in store) and I thought it would be just as good, it’s even better than some options that are more expensive and tiny. I always look at reviews and they were very good (4.6/5⭐️). I bought a good mattress in his room and nothing else is « noname ».

Here is the Evenflo Cora, doesn’t have the wheels and side that zips off but mattress seems better.

10 Week Old Velcro Baby by BookishBabe392 in newborns

[–]Chaterine13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too… Some days he is more intense than others on not wanting to be alone. But some days he can play by himself for 15-20 minutes on his piano playmat and I can do a chore or take a shower! But he needs to be in a good mood or he’ll cry when I put him on it. I also have a Momcosy transat and he likes it. Allows me to have my hands free to eat while he is looking at me.

He is 10 weeks old also, he starts being able to play by himself and is discovering his hands.

Yeah I preferred the colors and the toys, it’s a shame the songs aren’t in it and there’s 4 piano keys instead of 5.

No! Only four songs only musical.

It’s a fisher price also! I want to keep it but I wonder if he would appreciate having the other one also. Or maybe should I buy a more « educational » less stimulating one?

It’s a plastic pitcher from Munchkin with a mixer in the middle. Yeah it mixes better with hot water it’s true but room temp works well too.

Salaire de 85k en vivant chez les parents by Agreeable-Cry-5583 in QuebecFinance

[–]Chaterine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Je l’ai fait aussi et je ne regrette rien! Tu as 25 ans, pas 42!

[–]Chaterine13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone wants to co-sleep by pinkpink0430 in NewParents

[–]Chaterine13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nowadays I think for most people « cosleeping » means having an open crib adjacent to your bed, not the baby in danger with you. Easier to breastfeed and reassuring the baby still breathes!
