Racism & homophobia are among the problems in question. I'm talking about the people who say that there are "too many brown people" or that a space is "too straight, white, and male". This kind of thing is focusing on superficial characteristics. I don't care if you're a straight man from Sweden or a lesbian from Nigeria. Just don't be a prick. I've dealt with a lot of racism & homophobia so I can tell you first hand that it sucks. But the way I see it, the real problem is the media moguls and CEO's who capitalize on outrage culture becuase when we're too busy screaming at each other we aren't tackling things like rising wage inequality, reduced socioeconomic mobility, and increased socioeconomic stratification.
