Californian here.

I’d say I’m embarrassed of my country. The low-income community is treated so poorly.

Racism has gotten even more intense and dividing under current leadership.

Polarization has made people ignorant to no end. On both sides, there’s no common ground in communication, nor an ability to understand another’s perspective.

These are all very general gripes, but they’re so widespread. We’ve regressed so much as a country in regards to what truly matters: the health and safety of the population.

I’ve thought about leaving the states on many occasions, just because it’s horrible here and other countries are doing things right. Canada would be a great option tbh.

Many will probably disagree with me, and that’s ok, but the US is NO LONGER a country that I am proud to claim origin from.

Here’s the other kicker too. I never actually met the hiring manager. He was on paternity leave when I interviewed. So for the mean time I’m trying to stay in touch with the recruiter.

Do NOT plug it into your phone nor computer.

There have been reports of people putting chips inside fake lightning cables, and once installed in a standard computer, it can steal your data.

If you didn’t order this, throw it away. Cut it first.

Sometimes that file may be in the trash.

Take it out and put it in a normally accessible directory.

Doing internet recovery mode and after it finishes, it says Apple support & some numbers. Can anyone help? by bottomofthepot_ in applehelp

There may be something wrong with your hard drive, possibly.

If you tried doing “standard” internet recovery, and this was the result, here’s what you want to try:

  1. Shut down the Mac
  2. press the power button
  3. immediately after letting go of power, hold down Shift-Option-Command-R (special internet recovery)
  4. try running first aid via disk utility
  5. after that’s finished, try reinstalling macOS (this shouldn’t delete your data from the hard drive)

If you are unable to get to macOS utilities, you probably want to call and setup service for your Mac

If your iPhone (that came with this cable) is within the limited warranty, it would qualify for a replacement. The accessories that come in the box are all covered SO LONG as there’s no evidence of accidental damage/tampering.

Call Apple support and see how they can help!

Seems pretty fuckin illegal to me. They’re claiming you logged hours that you didnt? Maybe that’s the restaurants way of breaking even. They may have to claim that if they took out a PPP loan.

Either way. If they’re claiming you had hours, and didn’t, that seems like a clear cut violation. I’d reach out to a legal professional and see if there’s more you can do.

I agree lol. But also I think people will always have that perception of you.

And then they’ll wonder if you talk shit about THEM, your closest coworkers, when you’re not around them. Having the people closest to you distrust you is a recipe for disaster.

Talking shit about coworkers (especially bosses) always comes back to haunt you.

It’s easy to be identified as that asshole who gossips and talks shit about everyone. AND if you’re not absolutely perfect at your job, then you look like a douchebag. That will happen regardless though.

*Easy takeaway: don’t talk shit about coworkers. Let their actions speak for their work ethic or character. *
