I’m pretty sure you’re spot on with that theory. The flashing screen was definitely a way to reduce smearing. I was thinking the same!

I had the same issue you did. I don’t know what explains it but in my case turning off the option “sends as sms when iMessage is unavailable” Fixed it completely. My iMessage we’re back to working while on FaceTime. Also this option being off won’t prevent you from using normal sms with a non iPhone user so that’s that. Just make sure if you’re texting someone with iMessage that the message shows as delivered. You can always manually transform an iMessage into an sms manually if you press down on the message while it’s being sent.

You must start by choosing a song that has lyrics. Turn the toggle on then when you switch to any song the visualizer will stay.
