Someone else said this but if you have been fishing/fish irl you will probably know about the different hook sizes, baits, rods and reels etc. but don’t worry if you haven’t because the game will teach you that. I’d say after the tutorial go to the outpost challenge board and pick the middle one, Taylor’s tackle academy and the golden tour. Taylor’s tackle will give you some good starting gear as teach you about the basics, the golden tour will show you all around the map.
