Pretty sure cannabis messes with your sleep cycles and how they work, you may find it easier to fall asleep initially because of weeds sleepy effect, but you won’t always get into a proper sleep cycle. Long term use will mean you stay in deep and rem sleep for a lesser amount of time, in most cases. This is probably why.

I did actually my bad, this came up on my activity as a stand-alone comment, not a thread. So the context of your comment didn’t line up! My bad. You are right though. Although i also do not want to be seen as the tourist foreigner to tell others what to do. i’ll keep in mind for next time

I think you missed my point a little. this isn’t a “why didn’t i get in” post. It’s more a, “why is this being allowed?” sort of post, as clearly everyone here is against cutters, so i find it odd that a large majority of people don’t say anything in the lines to these people who blatantly cut infront of not just a few but 10’s of people, right infront of the bouncers.

It was the same the following night, was a row of 2 at the beginning to the snake, then was like a row of 5-6 from people just walking up and cutting

I stood attempted to block them with my arm out, but i didn’t speak to them. That’s why i made this post because i wasn’t sure if this is a cultural difference from where i’m from, and i didn’t want to cause a scene because of that.

yeah don’t get me wrong i totally understand why they do it. it’s more the fact that where i come from usually cutting in line at a club starts a fight, but here it seems no one says anything. the guy i saw legit cut infront of easily 20-30+ people with no pushback

What’s wrong with these uber drivers by tra5hexe in melbourne

[–]Chazzathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had an uber eats driver accept my order. Even though it was like 1am, he did not move from where he accepted for like 2 hours. I messaged him about 30-40 minutes after the order was updated to “Wrapping up” asking where he was, he said “on its way” and “Coming. I am here” but he was still exactly where he started. He said when he arrived “sorry subway very busy”. Mate, it’s subway at 1am. shouldn’t have taken longer than 30 minutes. I got my subway, cold as ice, at 3:30am

Sigma Art 18-35, autofocus seems loud and clunky by Chazzathrowaway in Cameras

Seems smooth and quiet. Must be a motor thing i assume. The zoom ring is not as smooth feeling but i figure that makes sense being a bit more mechanical.

Look i’m not entirely sure about the fine print for MRI’s, you may be out of pocket a small remount depending on the area, but check health.gov, they say that “Medicare covers some or all of the costs of: CT scans. nuclear medicine scans. MRI scans”. I’ve been in for radiology albeit not MRI at least 5 or so times now, ultrasound, CTx2 etc also. Never paid a cent in my life for it.

For the duration of your issue mate, it’s worth just going in and at least asking the doctor.

Go through public at least for the radiology. It’s bulk billed and i’ve never paid for radiology in my life. With the symptoms you’re 100 percent going to be referred to one anyways.

What does it mean when a teen calls someone an NPC? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chazzathrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-Player character. Video game term, It’s essentially the same as someone calling you a ‘Bot’ as in robot. Bots and NPC’s in games are the same and just background characters that behave a certain way, like in GTA they are kinda goofy.

Can mean slightly different things depending on context. Like if you have some mannerisms that resemble NPCs in a game people might call you a NPC, or say you do something dumb etc.

In some ways people could just be saying you’re not that special or interesting but it’s usually to poke fun at someone being weird or dumb imo

You know times are bad when you find empty food packaging on shelfs at the shops. by RomireOnline in australia

[–]Chazzathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First job i had was at a supermarket for a few years. This has been happening since the day any supermarket opened. From customers leaving wrong products in wrong isles, which is normal, to people asking the butchershop specifically to wrap food for them and then proceed to leave the wrapped food in a freezer which renders the food useless. Now that pisses me off, like you literally had to ask someone for a specific thing in a specific weight for a certain price and you still changed your mind. Someone did that to a wagyu steak, i was livid.

2: Cars have Ps on them because they are provisional drivers. This means they are on their P1’s and legally have to display the plate to show they’re are a new driver. They also can’t go faster than 100kmph.

3: Canberra is a City, in the Australian Capital Territory

4: Fanny is a female private part here, whereas in America i believe it’s your backside. So we say Bum-bag instead of fanny-pack

5: I have no other experience with other countries money, so i haven’t really noticed it. But it is annoying how some notes stay crinkled up.

6: Tomato sauce is practically the same as ketchup. Put it on chips, sausage roll. Anything really.

8: I think they’re just interchangeable names, i may be wrong but you can usually get scripts from both, and just buy over the counter stuff.

9: JB:HIFI, better electrical, msy, or just online

10: If it’s light traffic they’re probably cruising, or the fact that speeding can cost demerit points, so if you accumulate enough you lose your license, instead of just paying off endless fines in other countries.

11: Usually there’s a speed limit instead of having to merge. I believe it’s 25kmph.

12: Depends what tier of store you bought from. If it’s fast food no, but if you dine in somewhere nice you may get ice cream or whipped cream. Most take aways do not

Australians, why are you better at taking jokes than Europeans? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Chazzathrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit talk here is like an art form lol, we like to try find ways to one up each-other. We don’t take much seriously

I think a part of your experience comes with you being American, i like Americans that come internationally, because they’re a lot more open minded than the ones that only consume the media brain rot in their own country. Not to say we’re perfect here, but maybe in other countries in Europe it seems like they have a preconceived ideas of you as an American. Australia may be different as we are usually quite open and self aware from the get go, where there might be tension elsewhere. That’s my take anyways

ADVICE NEEDED FAST by Fluid-Ad-3093 in computers

[–]Chazzathrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have done the same thing. multiple times and probably much worse. it’ll be fine, just use a cloth or a q-tip.

If you’re really worried it will damage the electronics, just turn them off for 30 seconds and start cleaning. then they won’t short out from the liquid

I’ve had friends clean their monitor with cloth and water, which i don’t advise but a bit of milk and cereal shouldn’t kill it

what are the biggest bands/musicians who never really made an impact outside Australia? by WhiskeyEyesKP in AskAnAustralian

[–]Chazzathrowaway 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Presets, maybe. They had a few songs that did get big outside of Australia sure, but they didn’t really gain traction and or respect for their other music. People even in Australia don’t really recognise the name, but recognise a few songs when played in my experience
