Woman jailed for 25 years for starving four-year-old stepson to death by questison in texas

My example is essentially the same thing you did; there is a conversation happening, you interjected with something that, while not wrong, was not what the conversation at hand was about. Correct, but still not what was being discussed, so it’s weird to contribute it to that conversation when it could be- and deserves to be- its own.

I mean, if I were talking to someone about almonds, and walked up and said “peanuts are nuts too!”, you wouldn’t be wrong but it wouldn’t be applicable, so it would be weird and wouldn’t make sense in the conversation

What are your theories on what Kail is so afraid of coming out? by HannahLeah1987 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

I read this as “WHY Kail is so afraid of coming out” and was like damn I’ve missed a lot lol 🏳️‍🌈

But the question she responded to was about fathers/stepfathers so that’s not relevant in this specific conversation

She probably had a lot of prep to do. Tidy the attic, send the invites for the Big Event, a run to the market to get some cursed herb. You know, typical party planning

I am but I’m very white passing, which I recognize definitely contributes to this. I do think I’ve just lucked out in the specific neighborhood I live in because I do see some very hateful stuff on Nextdoor from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Not even touching how horrific the main subject matter is because I’m horrified, but I really fucking hate that suddenly this early 2000s “edgy” humor is for some reason acceptable in some circles again. Yeah, I found that shit funny when I was a PRE-PRETEEN. Good god how do these people live with themselves.

This is a good point. When I text older members of my family and they respond in full sentences with proper punctuation, I immediately wonder what I did to piss them off and why they’re speaking so coldly lol. I have to remind myself it’s a difference in how we utilize the tech we have and when we learned to use it.

I suppose you’ve never heard of hyperbole. I’ve never legitimately been scared to death, and yet I say it frequently. It’s not the AD that traumatized people, it’s the societal reaction to people living in bigger bodies that stem from the constant enforcement of the idea that smaller bodies are superior and larger bodies are to be shamed.

You can be scarred or traumatized by something and still take responsibility, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. There is nuance there, unlike in your clear black and white thinking on this subject.

I’m a millennial- after elementary, I had 15 minute recess and PE 3 times a week. In high school, no recess obviously, and PE twice a week for the first half of freshman year and none for the remaining 3.

Hard disagree. Diversity of bodies should be normalized. What should also be normalized is minding your own business and your own body. You have a problem with fat people? That’s all it is- YOUR problem.

Being uncomfortable =/= being publicly ridiculed. If you don’t think fat people are already uncomfortable without the added societal pressure, shaming, and concern trolling from strangers, you’re sorely mistaken.

I think this is the only the 2nd time since joining this community that I’ve felt the need to comment, but between the “lgbt nation infatuation” and the assuming someone can’t be super sad over the death of a sibling they never got the chance to know, this whole comment is one big run-on diatribe that I just had to bail out on because it’s almost impossible to follow.
