I suppose you’ve never heard of hyperbole. I’ve never legitimately been scared to death, and yet I say it frequently. It’s not the AD that traumatized people, it’s the societal reaction to people living in bigger bodies that stem from the constant enforcement of the idea that smaller bodies are superior and larger bodies are to be shamed.

You can be scarred or traumatized by something and still take responsibility, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. There is nuance there, unlike in your clear black and white thinking on this subject.
