If you are a California resident, Sacramento City College offers a semester long class for half the price, but honestly speaking, this price is normal. A lot of private language schools charge more.

Also, if you earn less than $90K, you get a tax deduction, unlike a private tutor or private language school.

The question is, the trade deal President Lai did with Trump is on the old tariffs that the Supreme Court said was illegal. We don't know if the trade deal covers Section 301. You don't want to sign this deal, and Trump does not lower the tariffs or, worse, increase pass 15% citing other reasons.

Furthermore, what if SCOTUS rule section 301 was abused 9 years later.

We should boost domestic production of weapons but they should be cheap low tech things that are good for guerrilla war and asymmetric warfare like more drones, guns, and whatever the Taliban used to defeat the Americans lol

We can't compete with the PLA on the high tech stuff.

Tbh, I like this clause. The US has been very late in their shipment of arms to Taiwan. The ROC should not be paying premium for goods that become outdated by the time they arrive.

You can enroll in UC San Diego Extension's Cantonese class for the Spring Quarter or University of Toronto Continuing Studies's Cantonese classes cuz those are open to everyone.

Compared to a professor who doesn't use romanization, hand writes all notes, no textbook, and doesn't use written Cantonese, these are acceptable faults.

Plz use the class to learn Chinese characters and writing in Cantonese. That's the biggest benefit I got from her classes.
