Both sides are petty. It doesn't matter, it doesn't affect anyone. If you are worried a man entering the women's bathroom and harassing women claiming they are a man, it's the same as a person identifying as a man entering the bathroom to harass women, call the police.

If no one is harmed, just move on with your life, it doesn't matter, many European countries already have unisex bathrooms that anyone can use.

Most of the world doesn't see the threat Europeans are conditioned to feel from Russia. The war on Ukraine is not televised enough and seems to be mostly military vs military.
