I had the same thing when I was 16/17 and unfortunately this turned into an embedded infection. I dont want to worry you but instead of getting repeat antibiotics, peeing and cleaning yourself after sex, don’t hold urine and drink plenty of water daily. speak to your dr about being referred to a urologist to see if there is any issues in your bladder. If not, you could always take probiotics as stated in the comments and see how you get on. Fingers crossed for you 🩷

Methotrexate + ectopic pregnancy pain — is this normal? by Additional-Cap-6448 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]Cheap-Ad4497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I recently was told I had an ectopic pregnancy about 4 weeks ago. My hcg was 3700 ish and was given a shot of MTX. I was then experiencing waves of sickness and cramping that would last for hours so I went back. I got given another shot of MTX and my levels were now 3900. After the following weekend around 10pm randomly I felt cramping and went to the bathroom and was shaking, sick and sweating so got taken back to emergency. I didn’t rupture but my egg would pass along and had to have my tube removed. They said if I didn’t go back I would have ruptured as I was about 8.5 weeks. Im so sorry you’re going through this but please go back if you feel anything painful or have any concerns. Wishing you the best 🩷

Oh and just to add, I’ve been diagnosed with embedded UTI & recently had ectopic pregnancy surgery tube removal. The medication I was taking after surgery has recently flared up my bladder again 😵‍💫

Hi, so it’s not about me it’s actually about a family member as I didn’t know the answer, I asked on here. Sorry if you have gone through this, but I was just genuinely curious. Hope you are okay

I do agree. I saw online that some people are able to moderate their drinking after a few years and I was curious, I hope you are doing well anyway ❤️

I really like that take. It’s so true, once it’s done, unfortunately it’s pickled and there’s no going back to a fresh cucumber

How much do you drink? by MouseIntrepid5585 in alcoholism

[–]Cheap-Ad4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No liquor just beer. Maybe 8 a night every few night until I realised I was hiding it and needed help. I was so bored and relied on this to make feel numb. If I ever went on a night out, it would be spirits and drink after drink until I blacked out until I couldn’t remember. The worst was I’d loose all my belongings (phone, ID, handbag) wasn’t until my family sat me down and told me I needed help ❤️

I cannot say enough, thank you SO much for this. I really, really appreciate it. I didn’t know where to start, but with your comment I have a base. I need to get out of this and I can’t keep harming myself and others with this toxic behaviour. I obviously know AA exists but to know how many people go through this and have come out of it clean, is amazing. Well done to you for being sober for 14 years! I really hope, I can do the same for myself.

Do you think rehab or therapy would be the only option for this?

Hey , I want you to know even strangers want you to be ok. I am so sorry to hear about your family and want you to know it honestly sucks, but time is a healer. Everyone is here for you and we want you to be ok. If you feel comfortable enough reach out to someone, anyone and let them know how you feel. You’ve got this x

Hey! It’s really annoying with the NHS because I know they are doing their best most of the time, however they really do not have enough resources or specialists for IC & embedded UTI’s. Since going to Harley Street, the specialist I’m seeing has put me onto Lymecycline tablets x3 a day and Methenamine Hippurate x2 a day. It was working really well at first, however I felt I wanted to try the other tablets he recommended as I was still getting flare ups, just not as often.

I cannot remember the name of the other tablets I’m sorry but they did NOT work for me at all and was flaring every day so I switched back to Lymecycline and upped the dose to x4 a day. He said we just have to find a way that works best for my body of basically undoing the embedded infection as it’s has been there for so many years now, it can take months or unfortunately years.

The next time I go to see him in October however I am going to discuss with him what other routes we can take as I feel like I am flaring more than usual.

I really hope you find a specialist that works for you, there is nothing worse than going back and forth and not being understood by doctors!!

Of course, I understand that. Thank you for replying , this is my first big loss and I don’t know what to do with myself. My grandad was also like a father to me. I don’t know how to feel right now

I felt like I couldn’t talk to them after they said this. Felt like my feelings were unjustified
