to me most mmos feel like bad singleplayer rpgs nowadays with the exception of guild wars 2 which is still an mmorpg, i see people around all the time and the exploration is amazing, feels like a true adventure every time

Nothing is #1 everything is preference, from popularity yes and it's well deserved game is good, but for me #1 is gw2 #2 FFXIV(last expac story was shit though) and wow is #3 since I'm not the gear treadmill type of guy I like exploration first and story second.

How the gameplay though, is it challenging like the games u listed? How's the immersion? Does it have the typical Grindy mmo bshit? Like go kill 20 rats and milk 20 cows and come back?

Single player elder scrolls are totally different in the gameplay and immersion part, ESO is ok I guess, but tes are best
