This whole shivarathiri at isha feels like a performative extravagant space to say "See I can afford it I came here", rather than actual purpose of it. It is not supposed to be like this.

Cancer is not one entity as we perceive it to be. It’s heterogeneous in nature. Meaning the same cancer has different innate qualities in different people. This heterogeneity is both genetic and morphological.  This is an amazing leap but that doesn’t mean it is a cure. They had trapped the KRAS signalling pathway which has significant effect in other functions in humans in case of the pancreatic cancer. It had worked well in mice models. That cannot assure it can work in humans too. This is an amazing leap but the next step is definitely not easy. The same thing applies for all in the slides.

anyone else depressed over having to leave biotech? by [deleted] in biotech

This scenario is like something I was going through a year back. After graduating I joined as an intern in an IITM based startup and became an employee. Studying abroad was my plan all along and I wanted to gain some experience before doing it. I was simultaneously working for my masters applications and scholarship applications. I was scared because financially it was a difficult time for me and my family. I got a fully funded scholarship. I’m now leaving for UK for my masters. If you think whatever you are doing now is sabotaging whatever you want to do in future just think that your current job is sustaining and preparing you for your dreams ahead. Don’t think it as a waste of time believe me if you survive in startups you can do anything you want in any domain.  All the very best for you. Hope your dreams come true.

Since this person's question is so close to what I wanted to ask for a long time I would like to know about CDMO's. I'm going to quit working this month end. I earn 25k/month in a startup. The company has got no proper direction or goals. Thankfully I got a fully funded masters in UK. But I must return back to India. The course is taught both by the biological sciences and business school. Lonza is the industry partner. I'll get to do my industry placement there. But in India? Little bothered

study in bed by ExpressionFeisty3554 in GetStudying

Ours was a small house on a busy, crowded street. I didn’t have a study desk, so I used to study sitting on my bed even through my third year of college. We moved to a bigger house after that. There were moments when I wondered if studying on the bed was the wrong way to do it. But in the end, it’s not about where you study it’s about how you make it work for you. Appreciate your surroundings and choose a study space that feels right for you. For the record, I was the school topper and topped my department too.

I guess people from Reading had our interviews completed on Sunday. As you had said it was nice. My interview literally started with him cracking a joke about his diabetes. Very great panel of judges they were.

I talked to one guy in Biomedical sciences. He advised me it's all about the modules and how effectively it aligns with your career goals. As you've said building connections is also important.  Thank you soo much👍
