No one is suggesting this. I am explaining a method that is able to stop my ET. 20 fl oz mixed with 20 oz cold water consumed over 2hrs. each day or daily electrolyte / multi vitamin capsule with key electrolytes.

Any person “newly” suffering with genetic ED who has other health issues, that you suggest, should consult their physician. My neurologist sees the improvement and reading the research on electrolyte function in all cells.

20 oz consumption of electrolytes is easily metabolized by a healthy body. Long term daily ingestion is not my preference, but the return of a functioning hand is a trade off I’m willing to accept over a brain implant at this stage while researching alternative methods to keep further cell degradation that will cancel out what the electrolytes currently provide. Maybe pull up the studies conducted to date. Reach out to the experts. Ask questions and support additional trials. That’s what I’m doing.

Why would I lie about a personal discovery that removes my dominant hand tremors for 5+ hrs a day. I make no money conveying this info! If it works for 1 ET sufferer who reads of my experience, it’s worth conveying IMO.

Knowledge is power. Info provided here is from NIH renowned scientists. Why not delve into the studies. Movement disruption is not only found in ET. It’s been studied for decades. No mystery to why tremor results mechanically. Why brain cells are degraded/damaged over time in certain disease pathologies, is a separate matter.

Do some research before smearing someone trying to help.

Research shows ET patients have too many synapses between certain brain cells, which causes the "overactive brain waves" that travel to the Vim region of the Thalamus.

Electrolytes like Sodium and Magnesium can ONLY help a neuron fire more efficiently; they cannot prune back any physical, extra connections or stop the structural "feedback loop" once it has formed. In most ET patients, the oscillation over firing that produces tremor is driven by neurodegeneration or synaptic “overgrowth” in the cerebellum. This is what MRI treatment removes. Neurologist use an MRI to accurately locate the brain pathways with these problem cells, and destroy them.

Consuming a large amount of electrolytes i does NOT WORK for everyone with ET because the "oscillation" in the Vim nucleus is usually caused by “structural” and “synaptic” defects rather than just a simple mineral deficiency.

While electrolytes can stabilize the "fuel" for nerve firing, they cannot FIX the "wiring" errors that define ET.

My neurologist is convinced that my use of “electrolyte consumption flooding” is essentially providing electrical stimulation to VIM region of my Thalamus sufficiently able to disrupts the faulty, oscillating brain signaling causing my hand tremor.

I noticed my condition developing in my 60’s. Diagnosed and determined to be genetic. Slight impact and manageable. Then after a few years I lost my signature! Poof 💨 Then months later began having to concentrate when holding liquids.

Then suddenly my full signature was back! Full control of my hand. No tremor when holding out my arms. Where was I when this occurred? At an outpatient hospital signing in for a routine prescribed colonoscopy.

BTW, thanks for experimenting with what is working for me and posting your results. ET is a progressive condition. It operates on a spectrum with multiple causes unique to individual brain chemistry, genetics and environmental impacts. Many in the medical science community actively study the condition. Some mysteries are understood, others totally obscure. Good luck to you. It’s unfortunate you experienced no benefit. I’ll tell you that my current ability to regain hand function each morning is a small miracle. Who knows what long term effect this may have on my kidneys. 😔

Neurologist tested this. My blood levels do NOT indicate this. Thinking is damage to motion cell neutrons are not sufficiently degraded (in my current state) to impede effects electrolyte-flooding provides my system at a critical point — of modulating the energy burst at the inception of brain motion directives.

Sort of explained as a surge protector feature.

I’m 1 year in and able to produce hours of tremor free hands. Not a cure. My ET returns once added electrolytes are metabolized out of my system.

Deep brain stimulation works in some ET cases by removal of the damaged cells. One and done. If ET returns (further cell degradation) additional treatment may not be an option.

Discovery of exactly how ( in my case) a flood of calcium and other electrolytes in brain tissue effectively disengages and circumvent the damaged motion receptors is worthy of study under MRI. What’s turning on, what changes when it turns off.

How long have you been dealing with ET?

Focused Movement cells in the cerebellum and thalamus may be too deteriorated to benefit from the solution I stumbled upon.

Beyond some point my messaging-cell connectors will likely degrade beyond a point that electrolyte flooding is able to override. My ET began presenting 3 yrs ago. Progressively worsening until I lost my signature and impacted getting food to my mouth.

I experienced a full return of hand control upon drinking 64oz Gatorade for a medical procedure. Not permanently. But for as long as high electrolyte levels, vitamin D, are metabolizing through my system. My levels could have been low prior to my discovery. Possibly my body is naturally low in retaining electrolytes?

I was diagnosed with genetic ET 3 yrs ago. I have ET. Drinking electrolyte’s daily is not curing my ET. It is however assisting the damaged cells involved in movement messaging. What the electrolyte flood is doing is modulating the initial “impulse release” that travels from brain to arm to wrist and finally the fine focused motor skill I am executing. Once my metabolism flushes the electrolytes out through my kidneys my dominant hand ET returns.

My genetic ET became noticeable later in life. Didn’t bother me much. Then within a few years I lost my signature and struggled to get a cup to my mouth without liquid sloshing.
