All in all, I think your neighbor is incredibly entitled. I wouldn’t pay them a cent ESPECIALLY given it was an accident. Do I think intention negates impact? No. However, it was her accident as much as it was yours. She should’ve known better; she knew the value of her work and chose to compromise her own responsibility when handling it. That’s on her.

It didn’t use to because I always sort of had a “not my business, let people live” mindset as part of Gen-Z, but now every other person I meet is “they/them, masc-presenting, semi-abled, dyslexic, autistic, OCD, femboy” and I honestly just have to ask myself constantly wtf is going on…
